WTF? Does this team look like it has improved this season? If anything they have regressed.....That lame arse excuse is getting old. Take the blinders off

He is a classless human. His players follow suit. Did you hear the story about the power going out in Bama’s hotel. Players were ironing their shirts. That’s discipline down to the little details. We have none of that...the secret to success is discipline, organization and attention to detail. O is devoid of those characteristics.

Getting burrow was on the suggestion of bill Busch, not O knowing about him and bringing him in single-handedly.

It’s on orgeron to recruit his roster. If he doesn’t or can’t get them back it’s on him to make sure there is talent to replace it.

O must have fricked your wife or something.

Talk all you want about his coaching ability but saying he’s a classless human just shows you have an ax to grind against him which negates anything you have to say about the man

Don’t know if it’s been covered but just dropping into the thread. We’re assuming that

1)Ensminger retires or reassigned.
2)Pelini fired
3) Linehan fired
4) Cregg fired
5) Busch fired
6) ??

Something like that?

Who replaces O—-Urban Meyer would keep our recruiting juggernaut rolling. I hate that guy, but he would be the answer (period) Would keep us Playoff bound yearly.

that's the blockbuster hire everyone wants

I just can't put faith in Coach O to make elite hires. He wants "yes men", non-threatening coaches who won't overshadow him, and assistants that make him feel personally comfortable.

But it sounds like the following coaches are gone -

- Ensminger
- Pelini
- Linehan
- Cregg (Burrow made OL better than it appeared last year, OL recruiting has also been a joke)
- Johnson
- Can't guess who the 4th position coach would be. Corey seems safe. Busch is too important for recruiting. Mickey maybe?

What gives me a shred of optimism about the future of the program is that King and Alleva are gone. Woodward is running the show now. He's from Baton Rouge, graduated from LSU, and wants LSU to succeed not just because he's the AD of the school, but because he's an actual fan like the rest of us. I have to imagine he's desperate to start making his mark on the program. He has a history of making massive coaching hires, and I'm sure he wants to do the same at LSU. Meaning Coach O is probably on a very short leash.

are we just supposed to ignore his reputation prior to coming to LSU?
i mean he's got a pretty shady past.

Yep but the question is....would he take the LSU job over schools like Texas or Southern Cal? I'm thinking not a chance.

Does Woodward have the full confidence of people to replace Orgeron? He did give Pelini over 2 mil when there was no market for him

Orgeron was coming off a national title and the greatest CFB season of all time. Any athletics director in the country would have given him any assistant coach he wanted.

Ed wanted Pelini, so Woodward did what he needed to make it happen.

I have to imagine that won't be the case this time around.

You keep saying that. You don’t know the market for Pelini.

He went to Youngstown State to stick it to Nebraska who owed him money.

Who gives a shite about this pipe dream? Are you going to step up and pay O’s buyout? If so, then get to it. If not, then this is pointless.

What market for pelini

In no universe was he getting 2.6 mil

That's an overpay for an old coach who hadn't been at the top of his game in a long time
It was a disaster from the start

Why did he have to go get pelini
So many other candidates who had been coordinating in the present

Texas, sure.

USC has a good recruiting ground IF you dominate it and drive out all of the national programs that have made inroads since Pete Carroll.

The rest is just wrong. It’s just a private school (smaller alumni base = less money) with shite facilities in a shite conference with a really shitty TV deal. PAC-12 programs are making millions per year less on TV because of how badly they mismanaged their network and their commissioner is about to be fired over it. The only thing USC has is name value and location. Those are good, but why in the frick would he pick that over Texas?
