Last night was the first game I’ve been able to watch this year, and I was impressed by Mulkey’s energy and how the crowd reacted to it. I was ready to run through a wall just watching her.

I also enjoyed how the women on the call were talking up Mulkey and LSU. It was nice to hear.

Great things are coming for LSU athletics!

The Iowa State fans in the Twitter-verse hated it

I guess they thought they had gotten rid of Mulkey once and for all.

.....................and to think, there were morons on this forum talking about......"they'll never draw any crowds"..........and "why pay a womens' basketball coach so much?".

Sometimes I wonder if a lot of the people on this page are teenagers. They have such short memories. The women's teams used to have excitement like last night's game ALL THE TIME. Glad to see those days are back..........................and that was just against a middle of the rankings non-conference opponent. Can't wait to see what it's gonna be like for South Carolina, Tennessee, TAMU, and Kentucky.

"Mortimer............we're back!"

It was funny seeing Fargas on the halftime show having to talk about LSU, her former team with a lead at halftime over a ranked opponent. She said something about “being a little surprised” or something.

I thought she took a job with the WNBA, anyway?

That was a really awkward moment, but I think she handled it well.

I’ve no idea what happened to her other job unless she’s maybe doing both?

I watched it online on ESPN and it was clear the place was absolutely electric the last five minutes. The crowd was into it, the players were responding and had the answer every time Iowa State tried to get back inti the game. You could just see the confidence growing with each possession as they began to trust each other and their coach. They can clearly compete to be in the top half of the league and earn an at large bid.

KIM should have been hired 5 years ago! (As Semjase was hollering for in many of the women's basketball threads)

Ben-Gals would be working on another SEC/National by now.

Where's my Will & Kim doubleheaders?

Fargas is doing both since the blurb said she is “President, Las Vegas Aces.”

I’m sure she’s not making peanuts, but I doubt the president of a WNBA team pulls down an astronomical salary. I’m going to guess very low six figures.

Mulkey was another hire where the "age factor" came up every now and then. I think that's BS.

She looked like she was at the top of her game last night.

What kind analysis did Nikki provide? She clearly wasn't able to comprehend what she was seeing with the offense and defense LSU ran. It had to be like trying to learn advance foreign language because it had to be Greek to her.
