He should be running a slant or drag every damn play.

Putting him and Taylor on the field at the same time should cause huge matchup issues for a defense. I can see it. Taylor comes across the formation to run his flat route, WRs running levels behind him, and Green on the drag.

More of a TD over reaction. He is still a TE, but we will see more of him split out wide in a WR role.

Wrong. He’s a WR now.

Ok, bud. I also had plenty of people tell me Toviano was the starter at star moving forward

People love to over react here

If we can get him on the field and be a mismatch then it will only be a benefit for the team.

Plenty of people aren’t telling you, Brian Kelly is telling you.

He pretty clearly did not say he is moving from TE to WR. He said we will see him in more of a WR role

True and fair, but being 6'7 and as athletic as he is he can contribute with basic slant routes and 50/50 balls in the redzone if anything.

that and read between the tea leaves his run blocking as a TE needs alot of improvement. Out at WR, he doesn't have to worry about that as much.

Honestly, so does Pimpton. Even Taylor is only adequate as a run blocker, and it took him until the back half of last season to get there.

I genuinely think the play action slant play that he scored on would work ten times in a game. He will be a big help for third downs to move the chains.

Put him inside on some RPOs and just pull that easy cash handle repeatedly. LBs won’t be able to stay with him and he will just push Safeties around.

Could help sealing the edge on run plays as well

Should we bring in a blocking tight end from portal? Seems like the run game could really use that element.

Losing Markway hurt in that respect but I don’t blame him. A blocking TE couldn’t hurt or even an H-back type player.

The pass Nussmeier threw to Green had some zip on it, but Green just reached up and plucked it as easy as could be. I had to do a double take when I realized it was him. A great decision by Kelly and Sloan to use him there and in that situation.

Calling it: this will be the offensive version of Harold Perkins 2022 breakout. Ironically, who’s LSUs next opponent….

"Look honey. I wasn't cheating on you with that woman. I was just with her in more of a husband like role"

BK said they can "eliminate the complexities" of playing TE by getting him in more of a WR role. It doesn't matter what they label him. If he's playing in a "WR role" he's a WR.
