Apparently we can't do that because the third party folks will be upset so we'll just pull a Florida again.

So don't play at all and postpone to a bye week because the turnout won't be great?

The neutral party at NRG who is hosting the game doesn't want to lose money. If this was a home and home series this situation could be cleared up pretty easily, but since it's a neutral site it adds many more problems.

That neutral party could cut its losses (some of which are likely to be insured, anyway) by moving the game.

Well, surely they knew that a hurricane in Houston in the height of hurricane season was a possibility, right?

I'm sure they do, but the last hurricane to hit Texas was Ike about 9 years ago. I'm pretty sure before this Texas kickoff classic they don't have an alternate stadium ready to go just in case.

I'd love to see it moved to Provo (if it has to be moved). Y'all could all stay at my house. I'll make the gumbo. Thinkin' I better get started now...

Sounds like piss poor planning. These 2 schools and the players shouldn't be on the hook for such incompetence.

Move it to Tiger Stadium, and then we'll play BYU in Utah for five years in a row as compensation. #Allevabargainingphilosophy

Florida situation sucked last year no doubt. But that was on Foley and Sanky. It was either do what we did or not play the game at all. And we still had a shot at the SECCG and the Sugar Bowl, so we had to play it.

However, didn't we get an extra home game the year before when South Carolina came to Tiger Stadium?

I wish Alleva would consult Tiger Droppings for retarded ideas before making all decisions.

The difference with that is we don't play South Carolina every year. I think that was the only way that game could be played that year.

With all the current projections why play around with this? Just freaking move the game, now!!

There is still time. No reason to not wait and see. I would definitely be making contingency plans, but no need to make a call on location just yet.

I think they might move the game to Monday if the game can't be played on Saturday. Sunday can't work cause mormons.
