I was waiting for an illegal shift penalty or else mass confusion leading to a delay of game.

Then realized we have real coaches now.

I laughed because I'd bet a large percentage of the LSU fan base who didn't know what to expect with Canada just freaked out a little bit.

It's nice to have a coach who will give the fans a little of what they want.

Didn't Coach O start Fournette and Guice in the same backfield in one of his first games last year?

I guess you stopped watching after the first play because you missed the illegal motions, delays and false starts sprinkled throughout the game.

It was definitely a statement that this isn't the same offense

fancy shifting against Opelousas Senior High School. Man I tell you, it doesn't take much to excite this crowd.

The response from the crowd on that first motion was great.

I noticed it in my section too, turned to the guy next to me and said' "Did you hear the crowd when we went in motion?". Something that simple was much appreciated from a fanbase that has had to endure an offense that most housewives were able to call out pre snap.

It was pandering, but I'll take it.

I laughed my arse off.

Do refs study teams like coaches do? Do you think the refs have to see what Canada does so they can be ready and not wrongly call a penalty?

Penalties didn't bother me. I was too busy watching us not attack the opponent's strengths.

BYU had a strength?

It wasn't running the ball, throwing the ball, stopping the run, or defending the pass.

Nice win over a poor team.

I'm sorry we didn't play down to their level for 3 quarters and then tried nursing a 10 point lead by repeatedly running into a wall of defenders essentially letting them hang around till the end.

I guess some of you enjoy that brand of football. Many of us don't.

Did anyone notice that the BYU defense didn't change with the motion at all. Did anyone notice it was still a hand off to Guice

Not to mention, for all the flash, the play went for next to nothing.
