"The Magic Is Back"

Coming of age moment for me, 15 at the time. I was in the Auburn section for some weird reason, and to this day it's my favorite sporting event I've ever attended.

Bluegrass Miracle. Went to what we thought was more just experiencing the least descript SEC venue. Left with a chunk of blue turf and an indelible football memory.

The game in 2007 against the South Carolina Gamecocks....the one with the Colt David fake field goal. Sat in the student section with my son, in the rain. Was entertained thru-out by the student's chant of "You suck, Cocks". Truly, my most memorable game.

'14 Ole Miss - at the beginning of the game, someone asked (an LSU fan) if me and my kid were going to stand and cheer the whole game. I politely sat during first downs. There were enough big moments that I was able to heckle the guy all night (like you would a friend who decided to say something your girlfriend wouldn't). Two weeks later, a cute little lady tapped me on the shoulder, turns out it's this guy's daughter, she hands me a letter the guy wrote apologizing for trying to get us to calm down while we were on defense and talking about what great Tiger fans my son and me were. Still have that letter around here somewhere.

LSU defeating UGA in SEC Championship game where the Honey Badger went crazy in the second half to take over the game and momentum. His second punt return that didn't go for a TD is the best punt return to not score a TD I've ever seen.

We had no first downs in the 1st half and won the game.
