Florida when it was Gameday and we lost 13-3. That first possession when Tebow had his back to the student section was the one of loudest I've ever heard Death Valley.

It wasn't the loudest game from 1st-4th quarter, but that was the loudest series of downs I have ever heard. I hate to sound clique, but it literally felt like the stadium was rattling.

It got pretty quiet when everyone came to the realization that we couldn't score. That was a pitiful offensive performance... Not surprising considering how putrid our offense was for a couple of seasons there, but like you say, the first couple of series were deafening.

This for me as well. Everyone was out for blood that day.

Two games come to mind but both were years ago:
Florida State in like 89. We ended up losing 31-21 & in 4th qtr the FSU band decides to turn around and do the tomahawk chop song thing to the fans in the south endzone. I was just a kid but that shite got brutal. If it was in Tiger Stadium and it could be thrown at the FSU band it was. It was a tornado of hate that just came and went.
Second game was a Florida game in the early 90's We lost 16-0 but there were fights all game long across all different parts of the stadium. After the game we were playing football by the natatorium and there were a few more fights.
Not the most memorable games but they were the first two that came to mind. I guess because they weren't necessarily loud, just fricking mean.

Bama 2008 was hostile in the form of, people literally wanted Saban's head.

Bama 2012, was the most intense crowd I have been a part of.

UGA 2003 follows close behind.

Georgia 2003 (intensity was unreal)
Arkansas 2007 (outcome sucked, but it was rockn')

2008 was bad bad. I saw a few fights between LSU and bama fans break out. Lots of telling bama fans to frick off and yelling tigerbait.

In your anti-LSU bias, you conveniently forget that the Alabama fans were not exactly Little Lord Fauntleroys either. Never have been.

Bama '08 was one of the most insane games I've ever been to.

But Bama '12 takes the cake. I was a freshman and that game was like it should be for every SEC game. NOBODY LEFT It was one of the most fun football games I've ever been to.

Sucks we couldn't pull out W's in those games.

I've been to some insanely loud games, but for some reason this game really sticks out to me. When the jets flew over the stadium in pregame I thought my ears were going to bleed. It was probably the loudest I've heard the stadium to start a game.

Too bad our offense was fricking terrible and took the wind out of our sails.

if we're talking pure hostility, Bama '12 has to be up there. Hell, a large portion of the student section booed straight through the entire Bama halftime show

Wasnt in the SS but i booed my arse off

I'm not about poor sportsmanship, but booing the Bama band's halftime show made me

After that 2001 Auburn game a bunch of us waited outside the Aub locker room for Tuberville. He slipped out into a van and was sitting by himself waiting for some other folks to show up. I spotted him and stood right in front of the van puffing on a cigar. He tried to ignore me but finally waived at me like " alright you got me ".
Man I used to hate that guy! Kinda miss those great games with Auburn....

2000 Tennessee was up there. That Tennessee columnist said Death Valley was a myth the week leading up to the game. The rest if history.

1997 Florida game - There was something in the air that day. Spurrier was quoted as saying it was the only time in his coaching career that his wife was unnerved by a visiting crowd when the LSU fans were chanting and shaking their bus.

The others mentioned already are all up there too. On the road - 2003 Ole Miss and it ain't close.

Not certain of the year but the Auburn game where they moved the kickoff back to 8pm. It really wasn't safe for Auburn people in or out of the stadium, brutal.
