2015 says hello

I think this has to be the answer. It’s not even Halloween yet and we know our season is over barring a massive miracle. While it is absolutely inexcusable, it’s also sort of freeing IMO because I will not invest anymore emotional effort. In 2015 we went into Tuscaloosa undefeated in November and ranked #2 only to have a classic Les offensive performance. With the season on the line we then get skull fricked at home by a 7-5 Arkansas team and then again the following week by Ole Miss. That was a miserable, slow, painful implosion unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

How about six consecutive years of losing from 1989-94? You're still young.

Idk, maybe Fournette going for 200ypg… you forget how great we looked against Auburn, South Carolina, and Florida in 2015.

I've been bleeding purple & gold since the mid-40s when my older brother went to LSU. I have witnessed the depths of despair and the thrills of success.

Until yesterday, I have never contemplated the thought of not watching their next game. I took off my tiger gear and dumped it in a corner of the closet. (edit: NIL plays a large part of that feeling - it's just different - like caring about pro-tennis - just not something to invest personal angst over)

I hope this feeling fades away.

2015 was the most frustrating. We were ranked as high as #3 going into the Bama game and then went on a horrendous three game losing streak before beating Aggies in Tiger Stadium. I really thought that team had it all before the three game slide

This is what keeps me going this season. A&M is the most overrated team in the country. Surely Kelly and Blake have studied Marcel Reed enough to find a way to contain him. The Aggie defense is terrible.

Just find some way of beating that team-- that alone would provide some solace

I was a student at LSU in 1983 when the Tigers were winless the SEC. However, to me at least, the most disappointing season was 2011. We go undefeated but lay an egg in the NC game all because of a stubborn head coach.

THIS. I appreciate the talent that our mercenaries have. I certainly don't begrudge any players making the best business decisions...but it's hard not to look at the landscape as minor league football.

yep - "LSU" is beginning to have all the allure of a Corpus Christi semi-pro baseball team.

It's shocking how much good will LSU squandered almost as soon as they got back from The Oval Office in 2020. We should be damn near unstoppable since 2019 and here we are losing to Ole Miss, Fkn Vanderbilt, and, quite possibly, aTm at home next weekend. I find it deplorable and frankly malfeasant, considering the high we were on 5 years ago and with all the Louisiana talent available. This season has been just fumbled away.

Nah , I still think Jayden’s heisman year is the worst . Drove me nuts watching an all world talent/offense completely negated by not even a pulse of defense.. still bugs the shite out of me

You’re young.

1989 was incredibly disappointing.
