This 13 game SEC streak in Basketball or the 23 game streak last year in Baseball.

I say Baseball, but if LSU Basketball wins the next 2, and 3 in the SEC Tourney for 18, that may be more impressive.

Right now, Baseball. The nature of the game shouldn't allow you to win 23 straight. 13 straight in conference (and it's only 10 overall) is by no means unheard of for basketball.

The answer is baseball and in no way, shape, or form is it close at all.

Winning 23 games in a row in baseball is unheard of, at almost any level. The phrase "any team can win on any given day" is never more true in any sport than baseball. Plus, SEC baseball is stronger than SEC basketball right now. Sure, don't get me wrong, the streak being put together by the men's basketball team is unbelievable right now, but what the baseball team did last year is almost impossible to top.

Tie at this point. Let's hope the BB team keeps it going and makes it better!

I gotta say baseball... In all reality, the goal of a weekend series is to win 2 out of the 3 games... Most coaches really don't put as much weight on a sunday game if they've already secured two wins. Not to mention the mid-week games that LSU continued to win against quality opponents

right now baseball but if LSU wins their next 5 games to finish with an 18-game SEC streak, it would definitely be basketball

also, when is the last time ANY team in the SEC went 15-1?

Easily baseball, for three main reasons:

1. The baseball one's 10 games longer (at the moment).

2. The SEC's a great baseball conference. It's a poor basketball conference.

3. In baseball, there's usually a few games where the pitching matchup doesn't go in your favor (your worst guy against their ace), the bats just aren't there that day, etc. Basketball, there's usually more consistency game to game.

ETA: Also, a fourth point I just remembered. The 23 game baseball streak was actually 23 games in a row, of all kinds. The basketball one is 13 conference games in a row, but there's an OOC loss in there, too. So this really moves the already huge advantage to baseball even more.
