t's possible, for sure. Guice is a running back, they don't command 1st rd deals anymore.

That narrative has long since passed. If Guice runs a sub 4.5, he’s going to be the 2nd RB taken in the 1st round of the draft.

Yeah, because 10 pounds over weight and not in game shape is the same as turning into a whale and pounding lean.

Why people on this site want Key to fail so bad is crazy to me.

I don't really care if he fails or not. You can't argue the dude was a huge distraction and took the school for a ride this year. He should have just quit and gave his scholarship to someone else.

Dude was a whale this year. Did you not see how his uniform barely fit?

Holds LSU’s single season sack record as a true sophomore.

“Doesn’t have the chest. Major bust.”

These are the mouth breathers that post here.

It all depends on the value people put on him, and what the need is.

Last season, there were only 2 backs taken in the 1st rd: Fournette, a once-every-few-years talent (Guice isn't viewed as that), and McCaffrey, viewed as a legit do-everything player (Guice is also not viewed as that).

Dalvin Cook was the 3rd back, and he dropped to the 2nd rd. I think he might have been more highly regarded than Guice is currently.

If you take a back in the 1st rd, this means at least one of several things:
1) he's great, and you think you can feature him
Guice isn't expected to be anyone's featured offensive weapon, the way Fournette is in Jacksonville, or the way McCaffrey was planned (or the way Kamara has worked out).

2) he's the missing part of your offense, which is otherwise set
there aren't a lot of teams that are set on offense, other than a RB. Seattle is one of those teams, and he could fit there

3) you don't have holes that need filling
Seattle has holes. The Legion of Boom fell apart, and they need defenders ASAP. Russell Wilson can score, I think they focus on defense first.

4) you have an extra pick, and this is a luxury addition
I don't know who has extra picks offhand.

Dalvin Cook was deemed a 1st round talent, but his arrests and fumbling problems in college cost him some money. Guice has had a 1st round grade without any off field issues. Teams like Cleveland, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle, NY Giants and Jets can all use a talented runner. The success of recent 1st round RBs, including our own MI22, has changed that foolishness for the better. Not many teams make the committee approach work as well as the Saints have over the years. Jacksonville and Atlanta are the only other teams that comes to mind.

Guice will go in first round. I doubt Key will. His bullshite cost him more money that most Louisiana natives make in a life time. 10-15 million at least

There were some that placed Cook ahead of Fournette as far as top back coming out. Nobody is putting Guice ahead of Barkley.

Cleveland, the Giants, the Jets and the 49ers are picking in the top 10. I don't think anyone considers Guice a top 10 prospect. The Browns have 2 picks, at 1 and 4; and they're the team likely to get Barkley at 4 (remember, an extra pick makes it ok).

Of the teams outside the top 10- Seattle has a need, but they need defensive help more. I think they get a corner, safety, or LB to help plug the holes in the first rd. They might be considering Guice in the 2nd, if he falls past the teams you mentioned in the 2nd.

The Eagles are the only other 1st rd candidate, and they will be picking in the 30's. It's possible he goes then.

of course, but that's what makes his bizarre junior year so frustrating. NFL GMs won't just look at his sophomore year - they'll look at it all. You're dreaming if you don't think so.

Cook dropped because he ended up being a terrible athlete

I dont think Guice has great top end speed but his explosion will show on paper. If he has a good combine, he goes in the 1st.

if Key didnt workout at the combine he goes in the late 1st. With a good combine he can go in the top 10.

Based on this past season, just showing up would be a great start. Second would be actually dressing out in football gear and third would be actually playing like he he gives a shite and is really trying to win a goddam football game. Late second if lucky

Key didn't earn first round. Maybe not even second. Third will depend on if he can convince anyone he's not a flake.

Guice I could see potentially not going in the first. I don't think there is very much of a chance that Key falls past the top 15, much less the first round. There would have to be some major issues exposed.

My opinion, exactly.

There are just too many questions on Key that will keep him out of the first round. I'd say he should be really happy to get picked in the 2nd, but I could see him slip to 3rd easily if other concerns of combine issues arise.

Guice is going to be more in a position if he's in the right place and the right time and shows the right things in workouts, combines, & interviews. I see it more of a combination of need and availability for the prospective team. I'm not thinking he gets invited to the drat room, but could be wrong. Hopefully he'll get picked by a team that will use another RB at least will be around his first 1-2 years which will help his durability and getting up to NFL speed and length of season issues.

Key - Offseason health issues, offseason mental issues
Post season finger issue, no last game

What happened to this guy, seriously? He was beyond beastly and came down to just good.
