I just said Zardon came to school because of that arm. That is what they loved about him.

He came to school to because he can hit.

Keep em coming, imbecile.

Just getting in from lunch. So Bradley is the only one off the board? Figure they know they can sign him if they picked him there.

No no no. cmon l=c... Hanover, Ibarra and Zardon are 3rd baseman. those 120mph heaters are the reason they play(ed) for LSU.

Not really, 2 totally different positions.

Well David Ortiz, Frank Thomas, and Jim Thome could never play 2nd. The only argument for a 2nd baseman to not be suffficent at 1st is his ability to stretch to catch balls and beat out runners. So Size could be an issue but if Hale has good enough D to play second, he can play 1st... He was projected at 2nd or 1st when coming to LSU.
Maybe CPM likes him better at 2nd than everyone though. I dunno.

CPM likes him better at 2nd because KRob can't hit and he finally realized that Moore had to be in the lineup somewhere. I'm sure will have some surprises next year.

All I know is I want another year of Fraley, Stevenson, Laird across the outfield.

I agree, but if Moore is no longer here, and Diechmann, Breg, and Zardon are better Infielders than Hale is... then Hale should play 1st.... that's my only point.

It's not like Stevenson made any improvements following his freshman season

He's got a big arm that's plenty good enough for third base at the college level and a solid bat.

Nothing in there suggests he was recruited here for his arm alone.

It amazes me that the scouts prefer these 17 and 18 year old high school pitchers over someone proven like Joe Broussard.

Same here. I would say surgery, but the Miami kid was draft early, Suarez.

Again, I think ya'll just hate me so it doesn't matter what I say anymore, but I never said anything about us not chasing him because of his bat. I said they loved his arm. He came here to play 3B
