11am game in Starkville against a team we should beat solidly. I'm guessing it will be way more interesting than it should be

That Arizona QB is prone to turnovers. He's good at escaping pressure.
I'd start with contain and zone on him, designing coverages to bait him for interceptions. Then pick spots to blitz.

If LSU loses this game, the season is over.

I will happily take that margin. That would be a confidence boost.
MSU will run the ball with success if we continue to send edge rushers up and around the tackle. But if they instead try to plug the gap, they aren't big enough to get off the blocks. We don't have a White or Queen at LB to stop runs up the middle. Their run game is an issue for LSU. I'm worried by the 4th qtr the MSU run game could really have LSU on the ropes.

Hopefully LSU jumps out front in the 1st half by 17 and forces MSU into passing game. But I would like to see how LSU handles a solid run offense because we will need to face it with Arkansas (likely) and Bama.

too many fans don't realize that we don't have a good team. we've got lots of good pieces but they aren't fitting together, aren't utilized, etc.

I just don't think our heisman candidate qb can galvanize and lead the team to anything beyond better than average. just my opinion, but it would be wise to lower expectations.

Moo State always plays us well, and while it should set up for an easy win, they are at home and we're at loose ends.

having said that, it's possible at some point we come together and start playing good football.

They had one sack because the QB ran out of the pressure. Arizona has an older OL with two NFL guys on it and State still was in the backfield a ton in the game. Most of Arizona's big passing plays came on plays where the QB ran out of the pressure and the DB's didn't hold coverage long enough. This is good news for us!

State's front is very solid ,it's going to be a tough game for the offense but we'll end up doing what we did last year and wear them down in the second half.State's offense is trash! It hasn't been good the last two years we've played them, but it's really bad this year.

I have zero idea what to expect. The game against Arizona was atrocious in my book. I have no problem with committing to the run, but when it is apparent, they are gunning for it and you refuse to let your 10k+ yd, 4th year QB throw it (multiple 3rd and 5ish where a run was called), I don't know what's going on. Rogers is going to have to throw more than 17 times to have a shot in this one.

Defensively, they gave up the flats all night and rarely ran a spy on a guy they knew was going to run. Daniels can do everything de Laura did, so State better be trying figure out how to avoid those scramble drills that either gave up big scrambles or made the secondary try to cover for 5-6 seconds.

I'm not worried about State. We have better players and coaches.

Yeah! Same song prior to Florida State.

I'm concerned about every game, with this coaching staff.

Is there any position group that is playing better than last season, when Daniels is in the game?
