Awful jump on a ground ball in front of the runner and send him anyways.

It was a good challenge. The rule states you can’t block the plate without the ball just like any other base. Catcher did exactly that

His explanation was kinda dumb. Challenging stuff solely based on positive outcomes instead of likelihood of getting a call overturned isn’t exactly logical
