richt also has the "i brought us back" mantra that miles does not have
whereas Miles has the "best 5yr record in LSU football history mantra" which is much more relevant than anything you have ever said. just sayin.

Richt's seat isn't that hot. he better win at least 8 though, or it'll be a long offseason.
he's not going to be fired THIS year, but if he doesn't produce this year, next year is a huge year for his future at UGA

The only reason that Miles is on the hot seat is because of Saban. Nothing else even comes close, all that other stuff is used to give everyone something to talk about to diguise their true feelings about it. If Saban was elsewhere other than Bama or another SEC team he would be given the slack. He is the winningest Coach LSU has ever had and to emagine just 10 short years ago Miles would be seen as a hero and there would be no negative going on at all and for anyone to refuse to admitt this is just lying to themselves.
Think about it 53-15 @ .779 or 78%! He would have this job for the rest of his life. After 6 years every Coach in America would love to have that record. Everyone wants to keep brining his record at other places but, that has nothing to do with what he has done here over 6 years he has been here. He has had no loosing record since being here has not even come close. The idea that individuals thinks he is going to be gone at the end of this year you are kidding yourself. Who else is there out there wants this job other than Tubbs at T Tech,
that is a joke he is worse than anyone else you could even think of. I think he goes undefeated this year he will be here for as long as he wants this job or gets tired of hearing all this negatisum thrown at he and his family. That would be 63-15 .80769 or 81%
The only Coaches that would even consider this job would be all cheaters, someone who has put their previous school on probation for breaking the rules, is that what you want?

I disagree with this.

yes, some lsu fans are never satisfied, except immediately after winning the nc. some fans don't like coach miles because he "talks funny", he sounds goofy, he's a yankee, etc, etc. being an lsu coach for any length of time is being in the fishbowl and the nay-sayers are alwways more vocal than the supporters. lastly, many younger fans only know lsu football when it has been uber-successful and saban was the mesiah. coaches that follow mesiahs are never good enough. look how long it took bama to get over the bear.

If it gets us a championship or two, sure.

would Tennessee be better off Today had they never gone from Fulmer to Kiffin?

Do y'all think Miles would still be here today if WVU beats Pitt in 2007, keeping us out of the NCG?

I brought this up the other day in another thread. I have several brothers in law that live in Athens and have been UGA fans all their lives. Their dad (my father in law) is from LA and is a lifelong LSU guy. We all went to the UNC game and he was just giving Les all kinds of hell, typical ranter type of rips, etc. But the sons are so unbelievably positive about uga. It was baffling to me. LSU fans (myself included) are the most spoiled in the SEC. I told then Richt woulda been fired 5 years ago at LSU and oddly enough, they all agreed.

If he was doing a piss poor job of coaching like Less Miles has been doing then yeah.
Please demonstrate how Richt is doing a better job of coaching than Les Miles is. Then go away. Forever.

Do you think? At all? You bring up all sorts of what "if's" to justify your idiotic hatred of Les miles. It proves nothing except that you are a dumb arse with too much time on his hands.
What if, maybe, could, be, should have been. Those are the phrases of losers.

This quote and your post about sum it up for me. It's sort of like your best girlfriend dumped you, married somebody else, seems to be incredibly happy in that relationship, and you married somebody who you forever see as a rebounding second choice. Substitute girlfriend for Saban and somebody for Miles, and you get a pretty clear picture of how some fans will never be happy no matter what.
And all this stuff about winning with "Saban's leftovers and his talent," yes that's true to a small degree. But what new coach hasn't come to a job without inherited players? I also know this. Miles won a championship with Saban players, but I can guarantee that if I had been the coach, we would have gone 0-11 with my coaching skills. Just because you have the horses doesn't automatically mean that you will win the Kentucky Derby.
And as for Saban, if LSU had been open when he decided that his great coaching skills wouldn't translate to the NFL (interpret this as Not For Long), I think he would have killed to get back to LSU. Bama job open, LSU job closed, end of story. It seems a lot easier to me to influence impoversihed nineteen year olds than it is to coerce multi millionaire twenty-six year olds.
Saban the coach; I am with him until we completely meltdown. He has work to do, and I would not give him a free ride in every circumstance.
To a large degree it isn't about X's and O's; it si about Jimmys and Joes. He does have a way of getting talent, and I think that is the first step toward winning. If Coach Miles goes undefeated this year, it will not matter to some. We have a decent team that seems to be improving. That's all that matters to me right now.

I have never once voiced any "idiotic hatred" for Miles. I was simply posing a question to get the opinions of others who read this thread. And, how do you justify me bringing up "all sorts of what ifs" when I've asked only ONE question?!?! You sir, need to stop acting like such a keyboard commando and taking shots at people for absolutely no reason.

They have blind faith in him. For some reason they can't see the program is slipping.
You could say the same about some LSU fans when it comes to Miles. LSU's position is very similar to UGA's. They have fallen behind UF in the SEC East over the past several years, and now LSU is in serious danger of falling further behind Bama in the West. Both coaches need a strong season to stop the slide.

I live in Ga. Richt's seat isn't nearly as warm as Miles. Rantards!!!!!
Posted on 9/16/10 at 10:44 am to Nuts4LSU
wait a second though UGA was a media darling compared to LSU even after we won in 03. UGA fans still think they were the better team in 03 and 07. Richt has underachieved at UGA since 03. Plain and simple. He had arguably more talent than lsu did up until 07. And no Richt prob wont be on the hot seat until after this season. His seat is warming up though. Oh and i would take miles over richt any day of the week.

Well you can turn on Atlanta sports radio and hear just as much grumbling about Richt as Miles, if not more. "The program is out of control. His recruits are not turning out like his earlier classes. He is too soft." His seat caught on fire after the SC loss blee dat!
