I have been saying for years that Les would make an awesome AD. He loves LSU and would do a great job (or at the very least do better then Joe).

Hell, Tennessee hired their once fired National Championship winning head coach as AD. Thats where the comparisons between LSU and Tennessee need to stop. LOL

Being and AD is way different than being a HC. Most HC's do not have the skill set to be a good AD

Being an AD has a business acumen element that HC does not
CLM may be likeable, love LSU and BTR- not a sufficient skill set

As long as the Athletic Department is bringing like 140 million a year I do not think Alleva is going anywhere.

That doesn't make you right. That is a dumb idea and I can't believe people here are dense enough to keep posting it.

I like Les Miles a lot. I also am glad he was fired but there is ZERO evidence to think he'd know what to do being the AD. Do we need to take a trip down memory lane and discuss how Miles was fired because he was too hard headed to change his style with the game around him? Or maybe we can talk about how he brought down the team bc he wouldn't fire his buddy?

You don't hire someone you just fired bc he's too stubborn to change with the sports around him. No other school in the nation is wanting to hire him as a coach. That should tell you something.

he can’t even get hired for the job he is “great” at and people want to give him the AD job...so stupid.

Another example of why LSU has people like Alexander and Alleva running our program in the first place. Not only is this absolutely insane but it shows how ridiculous our fan base really is. Les can’t even manage a clock in the final minutes of a game and you want him to manage a multi million dollar program. He also couldn’t manage a roster because each year we had a glaring weakness on the team and god forbid we even discuss his unwillingness to adapt an offense. Those are simple things a coach can correct with experience but Les continued to be the Webster poster child for insanity and you want him in charge our our entire athletic department. Please think before you post.

Saban would be an excellent AD. Miles can’t control time management of 11 kids on a football field. I hardly think he is qualified to run an entire athletic program. Maybe let Les start off by being a SID for like Women’s golf and tennis and see how he does there first.

Les Miles lied to a lot of people and it cost him his job as the HC...I definitely don't want a stubborn liar as our AD. I wish Les would get a HC job somewhere so that we can be done with him.

I don’t trust him to hire a head coach. If you want to give him a fundraising job, fine.

Being loyal to your friends is a great personal attribute, but would be the downfall of Les as an AD just like it led to his downfall as a HC. Les would not fire a buddy that he would hire. Makes for a good man but shitty AD.

You want an AD that can talk - Les never was a talker - LSU had to send him to speech school so he would talk better - not very much improvement.
