And how is that being interpretted as showing his co-dc's love?

Is he suppose to come out and say their coaching has been pathetic before the season ends?

What would Slowflow do?

i agree with xlxs... we can find a receiver to catch balls yr in and yr out. much harder to find a really good d coordinator. byrd has played like shite this yr and we have receivers who can play and have played harder than him.

when pretty much every QB you face, even shitty QBs, are "on fire" against your D, maybe it isn't the QB

their coaching needs to be criticized

they are after all grown men who are paid to run LSU's defense

when Troy and Ole "Freaking" Miss both put up 31 in back-to-back weeks... DCs MUST get the axe. LSU IMO is MUCH more talented than both of these teams, and should hold them to <20 points on talent alone. Hell, play man coverage on every play and rotate the DBs to keep 'em fresh. The zone coverages are absolutely not working! LSU can't get pressure on the QB without the outstanding individual effort of Rahim Alem, and there are ALWAYS wide open WR running around in the wrong color jerseys.

You still haven't answered the subject topic about bashing other player's and then saying it's JUST Byrd....

I'm as pissed off as the next person about the shape of this team.......but you have to give him the opportunity to fix something that hasn't been broke his first 3 years here.

Geeze.....

anytime miles says the DCs are fine and the players are fricking up, that's putting it on playerS

he did that after the game yesterday

the D was bad last year too but it's waaaaay worse this year. Pelini had somewhat of an idea what to do.

Jeeze. It's amazing how a single three second comment from weeks ago has morphed into bashing players and throwing people under the bus (which has to be nominated for the cliche' statement of the year).

As far as locker room stuff, thank God these players weren't around when coaches used to direct streams of profanity that would make sailors blush.

Who knew everyone had turned into such delicate flowers that get their feelings so easily bruised.

3rd was just a lack of execution on Hawkins. He's dropped INTs all year

Except on 4th and 2 at Auburn when the guy throws a 20 yard pass and he picks it off instead of knocking it down.

I have kept my mouth shut for years, but Les Miles is dumbass. I have said before, he is not very bright. The first years, I would brace myself everytime he would open his mouth to answer a reporter's question. I have not liked him since he blew it in the Tennessee game that was played on the Monday night after hurricane Rita. He was just hanging out on the side lines having a good ole time drinking water and laughing and then they came back and beat our arse. He has won because of all of the tremedous talent that he inherited and because of all of the leadership on the team. And let's not forget luck. Some of the bone head stunts he pulled last year...JHC! Luck! Half the time he did not even know how much time was on the clock. Yesterday, 8 minutes left and 2 scores behind, you go for it on 4th and 20? Pure genius!
Leave Byrd alone. Nobody is perfect and most of the things that were catchable, he caught. Les Miles has thrown him under the bus, because he can't fess up for all of his miserable failures as a coach.
Those boys are so done. They have had Lee pushed down their throat most of the season and have tried to pull it off, but how many times can they try to pull it together. They kind of perked up a little bit when Jefferson came in, and I think Jefferson did a good job for the most part, but how long can these kids endure running a third and nine play up the middle.
It is the coach's job to keep these kids on track and he and his staff have been terrible. I tell my 12 year old daughter to run off of the field in softball. There is NO WALKING in sports! You run! Those kids are completely uninspired! Their spirits are all but broken and I hold Les Miles completely responsible.

Miles has never "bashed" any players, so this thread is pointless.
