False. If we win a title next year or soon, Miles will get a ton of praise. Winning cures everything.

Of course there will be the vocal minority of will give him no credit what so ever regardless of success

Your point would be spot on if not for the fact that we have sent more players to the NFL over that same time period than any other team. With that kind of talent, 11th in the country just isn't good enough. Something is wrong with the equation and the only common factor has been the coaching.

U are simply full of shite and don't know what you are talking about. He is a bafoone whon has been ridiculed by ever fan base and spirt media until they felt they could use Ole Les to bash our program.I hate to break that to you, but true

and over that same stretch we have the 2nd most wins of any team in the sec.

We get an award for that?

Problem with posters like you is they ignore reality of the tailspin we've been in since 2011.

We went from playing the national championship game to no more SEC championship appearances to losing the toilet bowl last year. This year we got mud stomped by Bama, ARKansas, and Ole Miss and we're back in another toilet bowl game.

Les has all the NFL level talent and the team keeps getting worse and worse.

Just because you haven't agreed with it since 2005 doesn't mean he doesn't have a vision.

I think it's been pretty clear what Miles wants to do. Run the football.

Watching the bowl selection was quite eye opening for me. All these teams with 4th bowl game in history or their 6th straight. Yet LSU is sitting at 16 straight. So to me that says there are no great programs, just a bunch of mediocre ones. Since that's what LSU is.

What people are trying to say is that for an elite football school like LSU, with its fertile recruiting ground, lack of legit in-state competition, facilities, money, support, etc., we should be among the top teams in the country most years.

So yes, being ranked no. 20 is nice, if you're Wake Forest, San Diego State, New Mexico, etc.

ZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the elite football schools that we're measuring ourselves against. And among those, we're not anywhere where we should be. And THAT'S why we're mediocre.

Holy smokes!!!! Someone gets it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you say is Miles best strength as a football coach?

He recruits great players that love him.

And he can win despite his complete lack of QB development. I know everyone can see that this is his biggest fault, but it's actually impressive he averages 10 wins a season with the QBs he's had.

Florida fell off the map after Tim Tebow. Same With Texas. USC has been up and down since the Matt Barkley days. When Oregon's QB got hurt, even their offensive machine lost 3 games.

Miles is a good at gameplanning to minimize his team's weaknesses. Yes, it can be argued that the weaknesses are there because of his philosophy, but he still (MOSTLY) finds a way to overcome them.

Les Miles is a good man and a great recruiter but he is some kind of stubborn in sticking to a ground and pound offense. He ain't gonna change. I hope I'm wrong, but next year, when Fournette, Dupre and Harris leave for the pro's, Les will have once again, wasted talent. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

Our program will continue its downward slide as long as miles is our HC. He is stubborn, unimaginative and more often than not appears completely lost. The fiasco we just witnessed and the decision to retain the man will be so much more detrimental than most of you can begin to imagine. The fact that so many "fans" continue to support the man as our HC is ridiculous.

Are you fricking dense?

Miles fails utterly at gameplanning to his players strengths.

If there is one thing he continually displays it is this, so many players with so much potential, what a waste

He's in a no win situation. He will either be fired, hire a new guy who will get the credit if the offense improves, or it will be claimed that he finally stopped meddling and Cam will get the credit.

Rings never come with such provisions written on them, and Miles would have a few more rings if he'd let the offense go in a new direction.

LSU doesn't throw slants or in-routes anymore. That's how absurd this offense has gotten.
