Miles has shown he can't recruit a QB to LSU that is worth a shite. Either they have limited talent or Miles/Crowton can't develop them. Either way, the QB situation is ridiculous heading into Miles's 6th year on the job.
Louisiana hasn't exactly been producing the best QBs out H.S. the last few years.

But da Hat is the bestest recruiter in the world according to the rant.

There are things out of the mans control. What if Garrett was just fricking terrible? Is that possible?
Yes.

You want to COMPLETELY blame the head coach
He either recruited the wrong player (if he was, as you said "just fricking terrible"), or couldn't develop the player (if he wasn't "just fricking terrible").
So, he's either a terrible evaluator of talent or a terrible developer of it. Which part is out of his control?

no...according to rivals, scout, and espn. They're the ones ranking the classes.

yep, what does that say about the coach who recruited and signed rick clausen, marcus randal, and star jackson?

A bad move that will be discussed by other teams to all future recruits.

Miles' compensation is in the top five or so in the nation. The independent third party recruitng services also seem to have LSU squarely in the top five, as average, over the last four years. Our projected rankings and finishes for the last coupla yrs indicate we're performing well outside the level of play we should expect from such players.
Where's the accountability for that?
If it's not Miles, who/ what is it?
Luck?
A bad call in the Ala. game?
Perrillloux?
Injuries?
Excuses....

Yep, it happens to every program and coach in football. Guys won't pan out for various reasons. It happens, and it will continue to happen. That's what people here fail to recognize. But that's mostly the people who love to jump on the coach at any and every little thing.

LSU at BEST has a RS frosh in '12
clearly you know that zach lee definitely will not be coming here based on this post. care to share that insight with the rest of the class? TIA
I don't think Books was trying to say that Lee wasn't coming because he said "AT BEST".
I think in his excitement of having something else to criticize Miles about (albeit a fair criticism, IMO), he misread the situation. Books is one of those guys who gets energized at the opportunity to criticize Miles.
The truth is that, "AT BEST", LSU has a Junior starting in '10, either a senior or a RSFreshman/sophmore that you can't keep off the field in '11, and a RSSophmore or Junior starting in '12.
If Lee doesn't come (which I think is a likely scenario), then Books' criticism is on the mark.

and the number one ranked 5 star dual threat QB. Just because he is now honing skills as a WR, don't ignore recruitment!

Garrett was a detriment to the team and a wasted scholarship.

I thought it was ridiculous when they had people on here saying how great Garrett looked and he would play next year. Jefferson is our QB and will start every game barring injury. Then J Lee will play in case of injury. It's also ridiculous to say Garrett is not any good. We have no idea how good he is? I know one thing investing all your eggs into a QB who is a major league pitching prospect is not very smart either.
Best case scenario: The light comes on for Jefferson and Lee this season. Both finally "Get It", either from 1) Improved tutelage from the Crowton/Gonzales/Ensminger coaching trio. 2) A more experienced and overall more talented offensive line. 3) The establishment of a more Bama like power run oriented offense (Led by Michael Ford) that doesn't ask them to do so much. 4) No injuries to either one. 5) The second year Chavis defense plays lights out and takes a lot of the pressure off the offense to score a lot of points in order to win.
Worse case scenario: The light doesn't come on for either JJ or JL, one of them gets injured, Garrett has already transfered out and Zach Lee signs with the Dodgers, leaving LSU up the shite creek without a paddle. If that happens, you can stick a knife and fork in Les Miles, because him and his era will effectively be done.........

Why is everyone worried about 2012? Don't you understand that is the end of the world!!! The Mayan calender predicts the end of civilization in Dec of that year.
Ohh I get it. We will have already lost all our games by Dec of 2012. Bummer!!!
