Right now Harris is the hot hand and he has proven that so you give him a chance! He earned his right to keep playing and stay on the field! And starting this week will only build his confidence!! You don't bench someone after that kind of performance, period!

There's more than that to think about.

What happens when BH hits a rough patch? How will he handle adversity? He's already not doing a very good job of that via twitter. You think he has the maturity right now to handle the fans turning on him when he struggles? And they will turn on him.

That's no indicator of on field success. Just look at Jameis.

I really don't understand why Jennings starts. We've all heard Harris has a much higher ceiling then Jennings. With Jennings only being a sophomore are we going to have to wait till Harris is a senior before he gets the starting job by himself.

Jennings starts because he's clearly better than Harris right now. Harris has way more talent. The coaches have all but said so. Neither guy has as much talent as Ryan Leaf, for example. Where is he? You need more than talent to be good.

The coaches will bring Harris along slowly, giving him more playing time as the season progresses. But AJ will remain #1 all season long. The QB battle will remain up in the air until about three weeks before next season's start. At that point Harris will be named the starter and AJ will be the backup for 2015. AJ will transfer after 2015.

The coaches aren't sacrificing anything by sitting Harris most of this year. All of these ijits who think Harris would develop faster if he's starting are dead wrong. The fastest way to progress is through small doses of playing time interspersed with lots of practice - just what Harris is getting. As an added benefit, this method will probably retain AJ as next year's backup.

I get the sense there never truly was a Qb competition between Jennings and Harris.

Not sure I go this far, but the farce is Miles stating on Monday when separation is shown between the QBs, he will treat it accordingly.

Given the allocation of snaps, Jennings better have, in his mind, had separation. 3 snaps against Wisky and next to nothing against a giant like ULM tells us as such.

I made the mistake in 2011 and the RS episode to believe 'concentrated' efforts to have someone have more snaps was actually real - not buying it this time.

It's only the #1 recruit in the state saying it so take it with a grain of salt:

“They are still struggling with quarterback issues. One is younger than the other but one is more talented than the other. There’s a bit of a quarterback controversy over there so they need to get that right.”

I don't recall Winston taking to twitter to complain about coaching choices.

That's because Winston won the starting job in Week 1.

Which proves even more that Winston is a bad choice for the point he's trying to prove.

Looks like we can expect more of the same...
Run on first and 2nd, then...take the snap with a predetermined (in his head) receiver/route that he intends to throw to and if that isnt open as he drops back he either takes off running or tosses it to the back who is the last on his supposed progression.

Jennings is an athlete playing QB. Jury's still out on Harris.

miles is making the correct decision. you can't start harris because he had a good 2 minute stretch against the second team defense aided in large part by a lost fumble by the 2nd team center.
