On a side note, Mike VI debuted against Florida in 07.

I personally would like to see him on the field as well...its a great part of the tradition...its intimidating for the opponent....and if for no other reason...its cool!
I have to say Im not really worried about giving Mike a complex by forcing into the cage...its not that big of a deal....hes lower on the food chain (at least while encaged)....its not gonna hurt to see him a few times a year before the games. They could make it happen if they wanted to.

Yeah, I'll marinate myself in the blood of a water buffalo before I step in the cage. That way when he bites me it will feel authentic to the tiger, and his feelings will not be harmed.

I'm sure a cattle prod would convince his pussy arse to get in the trailer. Mike has got to be the laziest live mascot in the country.

Yeah! And while we're on the subject, what's up with the cheerleaders not being able to pound on the cage anymore? I wanna hear that tiger roar. I want to see bared teeth and claws that can cut a child in half. I don't want to see a tiger lying down in a trailer looking completely uninterested in his surroundings.

Maybe the act of tricking him into walking in the trailer, locking it, and strolling him around a loud stadium is what is inhumane if he doesn't want to.

Mike VI does load the trailer for every home game. He just leaves early, like a lot of the fans.

I just wanted to know if it was humanely possible to get the fuc@#ing tiger in the trailer a couple more times a year. Didn't think it would be expounded on for 3 pages. Self righteous hippies

Wait ... so you want FEWER replies to your thread? That's a new one.

To answer your question - in my humble opinion, yes it would be humanely possible to get him in the trailer. But that's just total guesswork on my part. I have no idea what they do or don't do to try to get him into the trailer.

I bet Florida State doesn't have all this trouble getting Chief Osceola into the trailer.

I never really understood this. I mean seriously, do you think a bunch of college football players are intimidated by a tiger in a cage?

I don't think they were using "cattle prods" when he would make it to EVERY game.

I agree, there's got to be a humane way to get him in the freaking little cage for an hour. It can't be that bad for the guy.

Um, you've never watched when opposition comes out of the tunnel and Mike is near? Some of them aren't bothered...some of them divert to Gonzales to get to the bench.

Think about this for a second. I imagine Lou Holtz shits his pants multiple times a day for no apparent reason.

Tiger roars at him? Shits his pants.

Gets up from his chair too fast? Shits his pants.

Standing completely still? Shits his pants.

Yeah, no. I don't think they're intimidated about a caged tiger. They've all probably been to a zoo once or twice.

They should be intimidated by our players.

I've heard this also. Can't recall where, though.
