I can't imagine why LSU wouldn't wait until the end of the CWS if they feel like Bianco would take this job.

They only care about the casual fan, not really the internet outrage.
The casual fan is likely going to be happy with Mike. LSU baseball arrogance will tell them “well if he can win there, just imagine what he could do here! Plus he’s a former tiger and bleeds purple and gold!!!”

This has to be a done deal. How can our side leak out this much info, then not hire him and have him slump back to Ole Miss, “I’m so happy to be here.” His fan base at Ole Miss is already souring in him, add this in and he may be fired within 365 days.

Possibly for the purpose of recruiting upper class men to return? The draft is right after the CWS. That would only give any other coach 11 days? I don’t know…just a thought.

I'd say a big chunk of season ticket holders are blue hairs that will accept this hire since Skipper signed off on it. They'll trot out all the 90s nostalgia names to come out and sell you on how awesome Mike is. Ben McDonald is on deck to endorse him soon I'd bet.
