It seems the consensus on that board to beat LSU is to "frustrate them". They expect MSU to frustrate LSU with lock down defense which will lead to poor shot selection and turnovers.
Can Winston get physical with Waters?
It the refs call some early fouls on Winston verus Waters that's probably a good sign for us. Winston is going to try and lock down Waters to stall and "frustrate" our offense.
Our high ball screen will have to be tight to make MSU switch. If we make them switch I feel much better about Waters beating their bigger guards to initiate offense.

While I'm not saying MSU won't "frustrate" LSU, it's not as if this is the first good defensive team LSU has played this year. You can go down the list, FSU, Houston, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee. In all of those games LSU has found a way to put the ball in the basket. It's stopping the opponent from doing so that has been the problem. However, maybe one silver lining in the two tournament games thus far is LSU has held both opponents to under 40% shooting.
LSU's offense is not some synergistic thing of beauty with an array of ball movement and and hard cuts. LSU just flat says our guys are better than you one-on-one...try to stop us.

Me too.....BUT, I will also say that this team just feels destined to play Duke. Maybe not win, but destined to face off.
They are America's sweetheart. We are the team everyone is hating on. The script just wouldn't be complete without us going against Duke.
