And just think how many sacks we missed I know our Lb's missed several when they blitzed

I don't think he lost the game for you, although the pick 6 was tough.
As crazy as it sounds, I honestly think LSU won from the coaches last night.
We had the special teams advantage, that might just be luck by getting better players.
But we broke the game open on 2 big plays- both TDs, and both coaching wins by LSU.
Brossette's TD run was the perfect play against Miami's blitz. Burrow audibled to it, but it was an option because we gameplanned it.
Also, the Pick 6 was Aranda. Disguised the defense and baited the QB.
Without those 2 plays, this game was going to be tight. We may still win because of superior special teams, but it wasn't going to be easy.

I felt bad for your QB. He probably is walking pretty funny today

Uh, maybe equal to Clemson...

Your WRs were very good.
Your QB was awful.
That OL was clueless with the blitz. We could have gotten to the QB any time we wanted.
Your interior DL seemed very weak outside of Willis.
I don't know what that adds up to in the ACC. I think Miami would probably by 7th or 8th in the SEC.

I never talk shite to a stand up guy with class.
Hope the rest of your season is better for you Brodiecane.

Also, to add to this, Miami's defensive coordinator put Miami in a tough position by blitzing as much as he did.
I had a feeling that Diaz couldn't help himself. And, the hope i had was that LSU would capitalize on Miami's overaggressiveness. Miami would have been able to get consistent pressure without the blitz, and that Brossette TD wouldn't have happened.
You have to know your opponent.

Miami’s WRs are legit! LSU DBs were on them like white on rice and they still showed out. You have to credit Rosier for some excellent touch on his deep balls, but in the end he quit on you. I would be concerned about Rosier’s mentality, your OLine’s ability to stop a 4-5 man rush, and your defensive centerfield. In my mind, special teams and an over zealous defense from Diaz lost you the game. Sure, those interceptions sealed the deal but take away those INTs and you still would have lost.

I think your QB will be ok in the ACC. LSU is a tough defense for a QB to look good against

Thanks Brodie. I hear there's some trouble in yalls locker room. I hope things settle down. Malik's a good kid from a good family
Receivers are sick on rosier sh*t and im sure the rest of the team is too.
This is the 4th straight performance in the 40% range

Your QB was the only reason you scored. You played a better team last night. Pre season rankings are for fools. Your defense is good. Live to fight another day. Don’t Implode after an first game loss to a good team.

Y'all QB is much improved from last season, so I don't know what you were watching. Some of his passes were off target, yeah, but it's the first game of the season and his accuracy will improve. But he threw some great passes last night that were on the money, he eluded LSU pass rushers a lot because LSU should have had like 10 to 12 sacks on him. I think Mark Richt is the problem like he was at Georgia and that is who you should be dumping on. He had Rosier throwing mostly down field all nite, but if he mixed in and had him throwing some short intermediate passes to y'all receivers to breakoff runs it may have been a different story last nite because LSU's defense made lots of mistakes.
but LSU has talented receivers also which was supposed to be our strength this season, but once again it wasn't used. The new OC promised much more passing, but Joe Burrow kinda managed the game last nite and he played well I'm not complaining, but running set the tone for LSU once again. I love that Brossette ran strong, but really LSU is trying to get away from that kind of offense.

Dude is innacurate or inconsistent as hell.
Thank God LSUs other qb's transferred. College programs are so caught up in trying to make great atheletes into qb's.
More times than not it doesnt work.

QB wasnt arse, he was inconsistent.
Some of those throws were perfect.

after thinking about his, i believe that many of the plays made have to do with the analysts O hired. I think we all know O may not be the best x/o coach, but if you surround yourself with people are, then the team wins.
The audible TD run just screams preparation. Not sure if that was from Joe, from Steve E, or the analysts. And i really do not care. Just win, baby!

Another Miami fan here. Good win for you guys but I think the teams were pretty evenly matched. Our defense played well imo. Outside of the one long run, you guys only got about 100 yards on 40 carries. Burrow passed for under 150 but did make some timely throws. Defensively we only gave up 2 touchdowns while defending a short field all night. Special teams and qb play lost this game for us. Our punter is trash and Rosier is trash. Yes he was pressured a lot but he had enough time. And our receivers and tight ends were getting open. You can't always expect a clean pocket especially against talented defenses. And this isnt because of facing an SEC defense. He has done the same crab against ACC and BIG10. It's who he is. Good game LSU, congrats

A handful of bona fide highlight catches by Miami WRs. Rosier was under a lot of pressure but missed some open guys, too.

I know this is a backhanded compliment but Richt has always been good at bringing his team back from disapointing losses. (He's had lots of opportunities.) No doubt he's under fire on y'all's boards this morning but he won't lose the team. It might not be noticeable as I assume y'all have a rent-a-win coming up but they'll come back strong in the next couple of weeks.

Rozier was pretty good at sidestepping blitzers and allowing his pocket to re-form. That doesn't wipe out all those bad throws but he showed awareness in the pocket.
