What's everybody cooking this Saturday and recommendations of a pretty good bourbon for my guests?
Something better than crown or makers.

If you like the Maker’s flavor profile, their 101 or better yet cask strength is really good.

Other delicious but reasonably priced options: Four Roses Single Barrel, Knob Creek Single Barrel, Wild Turkey Rare Breed.

Really wanna go all out? Blantons or Bookers (the one in the wood box). You could get lucky and find Stagg.

It’s worth visiting your local liquor store to check for single barrel selects from any of the major distilleries.

A lot depends on how you drink your whiskey.

Woodford Reserve is fairly awesome and not a bad price.

I cook gumbo every year for Bama. And will be pairing it with whiskey/coke.

Watching from home. Will have some Blanton's or Four Roses Small Batch Select then switch to the cheap stuff at halftime or when I can't feel my face

Rabbit Hole Blue Label.

Impressed the hell out of me. Price fluctuates by store on this one.

A lot depends on your guests’ bourbon experience level. My preferred profile is “spank my tongue daddy”. Uninitiated drinkers can always splash though.

I cook Ribeyes every Saturday.

Probably do blackened Ribeyes because there my favorite.

Shitload of Asparagus for the stinky pee

And probably a good Caesar salad

Kids want lasagna, so that’s what we are having. If LSU wins, I have a bottle of Lagavulin I’m breaking out.
