They have a long way to go, but they are getting better. With a couple more great recruiting classes they will improve depth off the bench. It’s been fun to watch them the past month or so.

I think we have two pretty good high school player coming in.

But that's it. Two high school recruits. We'll have to see what the transfer portal brings in.

Key is to get another rebound/rim protector and another shooter. Will need to really get lucky n the portal and get some SEC caliber contributors. Hopefully Collins and Chest stay with Reed, Ward and Williams. And the 2 stud freshmen will need to get ready to step up early. Portal will be the key to his success next year.

It’s a legit concern and happy lsu has moved forward but we are losing serious production. The last portal class was heavy Louisiana. Is the same crop available or are we paying substantial amounts to poach players top schools want?

We need a top notch PG who can do everything well.

It would make the rest of the team sooo much better.

Everyone is sunshine pumping the basketball program, I think it’s very mediocre. I know where they came from but I am underwhelmed. The center might be the worst center in lsu history.

Been working but saw the win. Looks like another conference fight. More games to play, but have enjoyed watching.

Ward, Reed and Williams is a great starting point, along with others we have and haven’t seen. Lots of moving parts these days but future looks bright!

Dude hit a huge shot vs Kentucky. He’s not great but that alone disqualifies him.

A couple more great recruiting classes and they will be good,oh so we're giving MM 4/5 years to have a winning record good enough to get in the NCAA tournament, that's pathetic that means your settling for mediocrity, and moral victorys, big fricking wow it's about winning and winning NOW!

It amazes me anyone can say he might be the worst center we’ve ever had when we had a tuba player playing significant minutes at one point.

I appreciate the optimism, but we just got dog walked by an unranked State team.

It's not like that was our first 20 point loss this season either. The program has a long way to go to being a consistent tournament team which should be the bar for LSU Basketball.

That unranked State team beat Auburn and Tenn and barely lost to UK. We were without our 2 top scorers. The lack of basketball knowledge here is hilarious.

It has been more encouraging than I expected.

Fair point, they've beaten some good teams.

Who aside from Cook are you referring to as our top 2 scorers? Ward?

Because he is 4th in PPG behind Cook, Wright, and Baker. He's also 3rd in total points this season behind Wright and Baker. So statistically, factually, and basketball knowledge-wise, your statement was inaccurate.
