UCLA was pre season number 1 by the reputable sites.
We’re more like Virginia, who was pre season number 2. But for some reason a sizable portion of the retard wing of our fanbase is enamored with the coach who did that while shitting our coach for the same thing.

2) how quickly a bad baseball season can be turned around.
Some recent history...
Team / Champ Season / Following Year Record
MSU 2021 26 - 30 (9 - 21 SEC)
Ole Miss 2022 25 - 29 (6 - 24 SEC)
LSU 2023 43 - 13 (13 - 17 SEC)
Tenn 2024 46 - 19 (16 - 14 SEC)
* A&M 2024 runner up 30 - 26 (11 - 19 SEC)
There is definitely a trend here following a deep CWS run in the portal age. The best SEC record in the year following a title was 16-14.
