These guys have been great but they’ve been playing practically every single defensive snap of every game since Maason went down in week 1.

I think the workload has finally caught up to them, teams are getting more push than usual and they haven’t been Quite as disruptive. We HAVE to get some DTs that are ready to play from the portal Or we’ll run into the same problem next year imo.

I think it was the first play of the Aggie game when they both tracked down and knocked the tight end out of bounds.

Theyve definitely been hustling and putting in work this year.

IMO, Roy was the POTG on defense as he had 12 tackles. Unheard of for an interior DLineman. Dude played his arse off the entire game

Does Guillory suck that bad he doesn't see the field more?

The entire 2022 roster issues came home to roost against A&M. Converse missing out Sage Ryan on the field in situations he didn't belong. That's the fire we have been playing against all year and it finally burned us.

Guillory had 2 tackles and 0 QB hurries. Sadly Perkins had the exact same stats. Jimbo proved Saturday night that in order to neutralize Perkins, you run the ball 50 times per game. I expect Kirby to do the same

We definitely needed to have a 4th defensive tackle to rotate in.

It looked like Tygee Hill might have a little something in the small amount of time he got to play this year. Maybe he can step up next year.

Not having Smith as part of that rotation was a kick in the nuts. In retrospect, it's amazing our defense was as good as it's been.

reminds me after Mason went down I said that our DT depth is so thin.

some reason Bama didn't, OM isn't a power team, ARky we got lucky with qb being out.

UGA will try and run run run

As you pointed out Maason will be back healthy next year and I believe he will be a wrecking ball

We have only had one real DT capable of giving both of them a break in Guillory and he’s really strictly a nose tackle type guy and not a 3-tech like Wingo plays so we really do have to bring in 2-3 interior guys this class and one needs to be able to play right away so probably a transfer. I’m assuming Roy is going to leave with BJ so it will be Smith, Wingo and Guillory inside with Savion Jones and Harold Perkins taking over at BJ’s Jack spot. You’d hope Bryce Langston or Tygee Hill is one of those guys that steps up but I don’t see how you can take that chance. If you’re going to have a really great defense in the SEC you need a minimum of 4 DT that you can rotate. The thing that will be interesting to be is Maason and Wingo payed the same spot so one will have to move to Roy’s spot. I would think it will be Smith.

Or if you’re Coach you slap Perkins in the Helmet and tell him to plug some damn gaps and stop being a pussy

I really think that Wiggins will play inside as much as he plays outside. Against passing teams or on passing downs. Regardless, this will add to the rotation.
