Were both early entries, enrolling in Jan, or one or neither?

I'm not sure if we fully appreciate the gift that we are given on a daily basis.

Johnson is who they warmed up during the Mizzou game when Brennan got nicked. Seems like a pretty clear indicator who the back up is.

We'll lose the worst one. So what?

Coach said they both were outstanding, last week in practice.
The one that practices the best this week will be told he is the starter on Thursday.
I suspect whoever starts, the score of the game will determine who plays in the second half. If the QB plays as well as Brennan, and the defense is as bad as previous games, hope he sticks with the starter.
Winning means a lot to me. Who starts/plays, not so much.

You can take it to the bank that a true freshman splitting reps in practice will not look as good as the 4th year Jr that is averaging like 375 yards and 3.5 TDs a game.

I hate this line of thinking from the coaches. If you don't bench a starter after one bad week, why would you promote a 3rd string guy to 2nd after one good week? They've been practicing and playing for over a month now. A back up should be clearly identified by now.

Not to mention you should give the guy who will be starting all the reps he can get. Splitting reps is a mistake.

You're not wrong. The spin from a lefty can be awkward for receivers.

Well, one of the worst things that could happen to the offense has occurred...

Yeah, I'm with you there. I guess O is just saying that since maybe they are that close? Who knows.

Really intrigued by both MJ and Finley. MJ gets the ball out really quickly, very similar to Joe in that respect. He's also really mobile from what I've seen and pretty accurate. I figure with how our offense is running, he is the guy.

You thought the drops from our WRs were bad so far. Wait until they’re catching a lefty spinning pass

In the senior highlights, Johnson had more long passes and was more mobile and hit receivers in stride.

Finley seemed to have shorter passes. Tough to view from that and say his arm is more of a canon than Johnson's.

But . . . that was high shool. This is a much different game they are in now. Coaches will figure it out.

Coach also said that the defense was way better than at any point last year.
