Yes I get it that some of the things they did outside of the spotlight was shitty. But its pretty pathetic how the media (and society as a whole) absolutely loves kicking the shite out of people as soon as they are able to. They love you when you are on top but as soon as they get the go-ahead look at you as a fresh piece of meat when you falter in the least bit.

The whole point was to show the hypocrisy of just waiting to publish these articles about all the transgressions going down since the NC. If someone feels the need to write an article about a kid practicing with the team, or O hitting on women, then publish the article then, and not when everyone else is piling on.
You cant sit on things bc you dont want to be denied continuous access but then act holier than thou and “outraged” over things once you know the man will no longer be there. Reporters that hold confirmed shite back are no different than administration members that hold back details.

I get your point but having access is a rather critical component of their job. And who would be the one denying access in this case? Ed O/LSU, so again blame him. At the end of the day, Ed O did dumb shite he can only blame himself for and is still getting $17m, so who really cares?

The media writes what people enjoy reading. Until the average page clicker doesn’t like rubbernecking things like the car wreck that is O’s last 18 months, the media will continue putting together these types of stories. It’s not the media, it’s human nature. Honestly, do you want a story about the old lady O helped across the street or about the pregnant lady he hit on at a gas station?
