USC 5 6 11 11 13 12 11 11

So that means that USC has won 75 games to LSU's 74. Unless you start counting at 0.

only thing i would like is for them to vote on how good a team is instead of how they are likely to finish.

i wish there was a way to rank the toughest schedules and just put the team with the toughest schedule at the top. and then on down from there. but that just isn't really possible.

oh well. the polls are done to sell magazines. they butter up the west so that they will sell mags. the south will buy them either way.

Maybe it's the LSU fans who are biased and any time LSU isn't voted preseason #1 they want to riot?

Considering they are preseason polls, they don't know how good a team is more than we do, which is the bullshite deal with those polls anyway. Polls shouldn't be released until about the 5th week at the earliest.

3. There has been only 1 instance where the preseason #1 ranked team ended the year #1, and that year was 2004 when USC defeated OK. We don't really know how good USC was because they didn't play the best team...Auburn.

damn right that is bias. Someone assumed AU was the best team

Then we would riot every year...

Also, if I play twelve games against the cheerleading squad, and go undefeated. I stay number 1 because I didn't lose?

My point is, USC and tOSU, are ranked according to how they are projected to finish the season. As well as, what will sell mag's.

We've talked about it a bunch, just thought I would see if I could find some definitive proof.

I'm annoyed by media bias but I accept it because I understand that it is a fact of life and there are valid reasons for it (ratings). Denying that it exists is both foolish and naive. Big markets will always preferentially receive more coverage than smaller markets and, on top of that, they will generally receive more favorable bias. How can this be disputed?

Of course you begin counting the decade at 2000. The 90s are from 90-99, 80s are from 80-89 so this decade is from 2000-2009. Nobody would say 2000 should be counted as part of the 90s.

You insulted 13th ranked teams with your performance on Jan 8th by the way.

We were given better games by over half of our schedule. Oh well, thanks for the bye

The preseason rankings are really not a big deal. It's not like they are ranking us number 20 when we should be top 10. It is fair enough to allow us the opportunity to win a NC when we have a great team. That's all that matters to me.

6. Since 2002, only 1 Pac 10 team, other than USC has been to a BCS bowl. That was Washington State, and they got trounced by OK.

Just about everything man does will show at least SOME bias.

Harping on it just makes you appear to be a sandy vagina.

Are you really saying OSU wasn't one of the top 13 teams in the country last year?
