I agree. Barely making the tournament shouldn’t count unless we go on a Cinderella run or something like that. Highly improbable

correct. my statement was an interrogative not a declarative. a question.
you said

and
quote:
He’s not raw
not sure how you know that, but ok.
it would stand to reason you mean he is developed skill wise, i am asking how developed is he, is he ready for the SEC? has he been showing crazy skill in practice?

Because I saw him play in HS and as I’ve already stated there’s no way to know if he’s ready for this level because he hasn’t played but no stone should he left unturned. I don’t think we’ll see him, McMahon is going to shorten the rotation like always, one of his idiotic insistences, and we’ll most likely see more of Sutton paired with King or Carter at forward.

I see so he is properly developed skillwise and also there is no way to know. got it.
man you must be at practice to know all this nuance

You continue to put words in my mouth and it’s obvious all you do is intentionally misrepresent what people say. I guess when you’re as basketball ignorant as you are this petty shite is all you can do. Don’t bother trying to deny it, you’ve already admitted to doing it. fricking zero

Didn’t read anything on this thread because it’s full of hope of failure.
Miller will acclimate to his position.
Reece will decide if we go 2-16 or 10-8
The team is pretty good. Their top 30 in rebounds, ft, and why they are Kenpom rated.
Thomas will run the offense through Nwoko and himself. McKinnon, king, Sutton will have to shoot high numbers. But miller, Tamba, and Nwoko have to battle and continue to take pride in rebounding to compete in conference play.
LSU wins or loses to smu by 5. Come conference play, Thomas, Reece\mckinnon, Tamba\king, Sutton, nwoko\miller is your lineup.

It doesn't, but again he is absolutely complicit in that.

I still think he might succeed. hope so, LSU basketball is my favorite sport.
I don't have as much hope as you seemingly do, but I also hope so. I'd love to be wrong and I'd love for him to prove me wrong.

LSU isn't even mediocre. LSU in three seasons under McMahon got consistently blown out in almost every game vs the top half of the SEC, and only occasionally pulled out wins against the lesser SEC teams.
Outside about a 2 week period in SEC play in 24 where we won 4 of 5 including an upset win over Kentucky at home, there has been very little to point to in the way of consistent success that would give much hope. And even then, that season ended with a thud getting whipped fairly convincingly by State in the first round of the SEC tourney then losing at home in the first round of the NIT by North Texas and showing little life in the process.
We have our most talent under CMM this year we say? I think a good argument can be made this is true. Let's see what we do with that.

Unless there is a booster willing to front the cash to fire him. $6mm is peanuts compared to Brian Kelly but still a lot considering the men's basketball budget. Though, making a big hire and winning games could make up that $6mm in no time. Not sure where the #s come from as the most recent LSU report has Men's Basketball with $10.8mm revenue, but the graphic still illustrates how with a winning coach, LSU could boost revenue on par with it's peers and more than make up for the buyout.

I believe this is fair. McMahon needs to do ONLY one or more of the following to keep his job IMO:
1) Win the SEC regular season championship.
2) Have LSU wearing a WHITE jersey on the first Thursday or Friday of the NCAA tournament.
3) Make the sweet 16 under any circumstance.
Now if you take time to actually think about what each of the above scenarios means, I think most fair minded people would agree with the above.
Remember, he only has to accomplish ONE of the three above, and accomplishing any or all of the three would not be sneaking in the tournament by the skin of his nose (except making the sweet 16 as a low seed).

So when we lose to SMU tomorrow, it’ll be interesting & sad to see how pitifully unpacked the PMAC will be the rest of the season. Get rid of McMahon after that game to try salvage some fan interest going forward.

This is weird. Where is Duke on the list of top revenue programs? I don't see Duke in the 50-- they should be Top 5

This ^^^^
I have never called for or advocated firing CMM. But should this year end like the first 3, I would not kick up a fuss.
The key is to make a better hire.

you accused me of putting words in your mouth but cannot show an example even though its all here to see. I used quotes, every time. try to stick to basketball and not lies to deflect.
you cant show one example of me putting words in your mouth. you can find direct quotes.
