Why do you keep coming back to this place that obviously upsets you so much? You’re not that bright, are you?

Your idol, Matt McMahon, is 16-49 in SEC play and will be 16-50 by the time tomorrow night rolls around.

Just want to point that out for you. Have a great Friday.

Your white knighting is every bit the overkill that the constant anti-McMahon posts are

McMahon is not my idol. I have always been consistent that he should receive four years to either be successful or not. I am also objective and unless the season turns around fast I have no issue with replacing him. While it could plausibly be argued that key injuries have derailed last season and even more so this season the optics of the program likely support a change if they do not make the tournament. Whether that happens or not will be up to those responsible to make that decision.

That being said, my ire has been directed at the vast wave of mocking derision directed at McMahon and the program. I have been a supporter of LSU basketball for over 60 years, some great seasons and some not so good. Its unnecessarry to have 10 to 15 shite posts on this board every day . You may say this is only a message board , but it has a great effect on shaping public opinion and the negativity has an effect on tearing down the program and the general aura of the program. If you truly want sucess then be more supportive and at the end of the season a decision can be objectively made on the fate of the coaching staff.

The results may not alway show it, but this team busts their arse every game while trying to overcome the loss of their best player and a skilled veteran forward. The way their own fan base treats them can have an effect on whether they return or how potential recuits and transfers view playing for this fan base. This is a proud program that has recently fallen on hard times, but will rise again. Only Kentucky and Florida over the past 25 years have been more successful SEC programs. No othe rprograms in the league can boast of the star power and tradiiton that has been LSU basketball. Be objective without belittling. There are positive moments and when someone acknowledges it don't immediately respond with a " yeah, but" comment. Stop the unoriginal and sophomoric threads which monopolize this board and derail any positive or even neutral comments about the program.

This is pollyanna shite. The team sucking arse, the playing time they get, and the money they're offered has an impact. Fans shite talking the coach who has been objectively a loser isn't what's holding the program down.

He fails to acknowledge the negativity is due to the coach and state of the program. Instead he blames the fans for the losing and state of the program and calls them profane names. Sounds logical.

Didn't sa that, its just not necessary to start 15 " cute" negative threads every fricking day or insert some negative comment into threads which don't even involve basketball. This team is playing without two key players yet have been competitive in all but a few games. Every team in the league has gotten blown out in a few games this season, it happens. They have not been the disaster some on here claim.

Tied for last place and very very very likely to be to miss the tourney for the 4th straight season, the only SEC team to not make an appearance over that period, is a disaster.

I disagree, the negativity is 100% justified and this season has been a disaster. CoachMc has earned zero credit during his tenure to excuse anything at this point. When some “fans” need to goal post what constitutes double digits, there is a real problem.

There’s a lot of things that add up right? You have the worst 4 years of LSU basketball, or the modern version of basketball (post 1965) in history which will bring a lot of warranted negativity. You have the way the previous coach was let go, also warranted ire. You have the contract and its connection to Woody. And let’s be honest, the real problem and source of disdain which comes from McMahon’s product from what we see on the court to the off court stuff and his either stubbornness or ineptitude to change, adjust or improve any of it. It’s all not only warranted but considering everything McMahon has been treated with kid gloves by any comparison to any LSU coach in history with similar results.
