What is a realistic scenario of how McMahon’s remaining time at LSU plays out if product remains the same? I’m a die hard fan and watch with divided attention whereas I remember pacing during the Michigan State game back when Waters was still here. So I feel I’m checked out and hopeless and am ready for a change although hoping somehow they miraculously cobble something together.

I don’t know specifics about the contract and buyout. I know they gave him a long contract with good guaranteed money. Is it realistic at all he might be gone after this year if they play like they did last year in SEC play? Is one more year most likely scenario? Surely they wouldn’t give him two more years considering how poor the play has been right?

If people don’t go and season tickets aren’t renewed, there will have to be a change. With that said, there has to be a sure fire guy ready to grab.

Best thing you can do is stop paying attention for a while.

Pretend men’s bb doesn’t exist.

Works for me.

Well, until I jump on the Rant

I just want to know on what day did God make Matt McMahon and why couldn’t he have rested on that day?

CMM has a 7-year contract. If he is terminated, he gets 50% of the money left on the contract.

His salary in Year One was $2.6 million. It goes up 100K each year through Year Seven when it is $3.2 million.

His buyouts are: in 2024, $7.5 million; in 2025, $6.1 million, in 2026, $4.65 million; in 2027, $3.15 million.

Minimum of 3 years guaranteed to get him to come. Up to Woodrow and his checkbook after that.

I think he gets next year no matter what. Unless the program shows improvement by then, which seems unlikely, he’s gone.

He actually would get 80% according to the contract.

I thought it was 80%, but can be paid out over the remaining portion of the 7 year period?

He needs replaced ASAP before this becomes a terrible season and we lose recruits complete interest in LSU.

I think he gets next year with an extremely short leash.

And probably 1 more after next. Woodward probably views this as his real "year 1" considering what he came into.

We're literally second to last in conference. Only slightly better than.........Vandy. Who many people probably didn't even know had a men's basketball team.
