No Texas or Florida? Interesting. USC is a head scratcher. It "should" be a top-5 job, undoubtedly. However, what's the administration like in terms of their commitment to winning? Currently, they are in a dull, weak conference. They are also no longer the "only game in town" -- LA Rams and Chargers.

USC too high.
I’d put Oklahoma and Florida over them.
Arguments for Oregon, ND, Texas as well.

Could be #1 depending on the criteria

Notre Dame has so many obstacles with its stringent academic standards and lack of an in-state recruiting base.

I have a hard time believing Texas is a top 5 job when coaches keep failing there. At least at LSU our retard head coaches win rings while playing in the toughest division in CFB.

Divide California by USC, Stanford, Cal and UCLA.

Auburn is a better job than USC, change my mind.

Divide Texas by UT, A&M and OU.
Divide Florida by Florida State, UF, Miami and UCF (sort of).
At least Louisiana doesn't get naturally divided by any other team. Yes, we have to worry about teams coming in to raid our talent, but that also applies to California, Texas and Florida.

I get your point but USC should be able to out-brand those 3 for the majority of the top CA recruits

And we cannot even attact a Top 10 coach with moneybags giving out obscene record breaking compensation?

A strong case can be made that LSU is the best job in college

If recruiting is the name of the game then LSU is #1. Arguably the most D1 recruits per capita and NO other 5 five school within the state.

LSU, UGA, and Ohio State are widely regarded as the best jobs in the country based on having no competition in state for recruits, facilities, resources etc.

It's Ohio State and then everyone else in the rear view mirror.

UT needs an asteroid to fall on their next booster meeting to become a top 5 job again. But as soon as that happens it will.

Replace tOSU and Bama with UF and either USC/UT.
All have a much better recruiting footprint than Bana or tOSU.
