backing them with statistics?

one game is not a large enough sample size to form an opinion about a 30+ game season

Vegas only had us winning by 16 so they are surprising them so far.

It's one fricking game man. I can go back and say how in McMahon's first year we beat a top 10 team at home to start SEC play (Arkansas)... we all know how that season went from there. It's one game, no one should be making conclusions on either side of the spectrum. We cannot foresee that we will make the tournament or say that we will go 2-16 in conference again. There's no point in making these assertions after 30 minutes of basketball.

Yep.

They should have beat Kansas State (who went to final 4) and beat Arkansas who went to Elite 8. Started 12-1 and still ended up 2-16 in SEC play.

I will say this team appears to have more offensive firepower and more athleticism if they remain healthy. I will be cautiously optimistic

The fact they are able to shoot 3s is a improvement.

Seems to have better quality depth, to me. But maybe I'm trying to blot out last season

jordan sears was in the 99th percentile for catch and shoot 3pt% the year before he came here. i'm not sure why his ability to shoot fell off a cliff.

i am glad to see us knocking down shots, hopefully we can maintain it throughout the year

Tarleton threw the towel in.

Rebounding has been much better in the second half

Team made a ton of 3s last year when they beat Florida State. No one knows shite about this team right now.

WW's last team here has something to say about that

Oh you mean the LSU team that got upset in the first round by an 11 Seed Iowa State? A less athletic team? Good point.

The most exciting thing about this season is not having to watch Derek Fountains goofy uncoordinated arse anymore

The bigs are a massive upgrade

Sears fell off because he was 5’9 and couldn’t shoot over SEC players.

I see the skepticism and even negative comments, if you can't tell that this team is the best McMahon has had then you don't know basketball.

Not saying we would have made the tournament but a healthy Jalen Reed wins us another game or 2 in the SEC

Why does CMM still have starters in up 30+ with less than 5 minutes to go

Iowa St plays a style of play that neuters athleticism. Similar to Wisconsin and what they did to the 38-0 Kentucky team
