Change my mind: LSU will get plastered by the Hogs in Fayetteville.

Arkansas is playing excellent basketball now under Cal-- they won big games @ Kentucky and @ Texas, and most recently lost a slugfest at home by 4 to Alabama.

Long gone are the days when a Keith Hornsby could step back and coolly launch a walkoff 3 pointer @ Arkansas. I believe LSU will get throttled tonight in Bud Walton Arena-- LSU 67, Arkansas 88.

Following this weekend’s epic collapse and Arky looking for revenge, you would think this one shouldn’t be close.

Not sure if the Tigers will cover, but definitely get the L tonight, our Coach is completely in over his head.

What I wanna know is how the hell did LSU beat this team last month?

It’s the most puzzling result of the whole season.

They’re more likely to lose by 20 than they are to keep it within 5. That’s the reality of the program right now.

Arky playing much better in recent games. I expect LSU to give acceptable effort for about 8 min, then get their doors blown off. This team has nothing to play for. Losses like the OM game typically make teams like this LSU team fold up.

LSU beating any SEC opponent this year is puzzling. This team is terrible.

Strangely enough, LSU has beat Arky in the PMAC each of the the three McMahon seasons, only to lose big in the return trip to Fayetteville.

Arky started 0-5 in SEC, they’ve gone 3-2 since

Watch us lead the game 38 of the 40 minutes then again never score again and blow a double-digit lead to lose since McMahon's "such a great coach"

Not really.

In fact, it's probably one of the least puzzling results of the season. This isn't a great Arkansas team. They are playing better right now. Maybe the best they've played all season. Cal's teams have a tendency to get better as the regular season goes along. But this still isn't a good team. 14-9 (3-7). Plus, for reasons still unknown, McMahon seems to match up well with Cal. Despite losing 70% of his SEC games (to date), McMahon is 2-1 vs. Cal, with the one loss being by 3 at Rupp Arena.

That said, I don't see this one being close. LSU rarely wins at Bud Walton Arena. Combine that with the fact Arkansas is playing well right now and LSU is coming off an emotional gut-punch loss, this doesn't look like a great spot for LSU. For the players' sake I hope I am wrong

Our team sucks but that's simply not true. We've played the bulk of SEC teams very close to the end.

Ehhh...I think I would say about 1/2, at best, of the games were "very close" to the end. Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss....maybe Auburn if you want to stretch the definitions of "very close" and "to the end." None of the others were particularly close at the end. The outcome was pretty much decided by the 5:00 minute mark or so.

I think you mean Bud Walton. We aren't playing them in baseball tonight.

Yes, I know, you aren't really asking but to point is.... it's fricking stupid.

I think everyone knows Cal has been past his prime for awhile now. His statement a couple years back about his job not being to win titles but to put kids into the NBA was kind of a confession to what he is now. His teams are basically AAU style offenses with good defensive principals now a days and are built from guard to post which is the exact opposite of how his teams that challenged for titles were built. They’re still dangerous and talented but they can be had as we’ve witnessed in the last couple of seasons.
