That’ll be fun. Neutral site tournies are fun. 2 years ago the Charleston Classic was so much fun. Still mad we lost to Dayton

It's probably the worst team LSU will play this year.

Based on KenPom, that looks to be true right now. PrairieView A&M is the only other viable candidate. Here are the KenPom rankings for LSU's OOC opponents.

Tarleton St. - 231
New Orleans - 166
FIU - 209
Alcorn St. - 345
Nebraska Omaha - 217
Drake - 139
Boston College - 106
Texas Tech - 15
SMU - 51
Southeastern Louisiana - 242
Prairie View A&M - 329
Southern Miss - 256

Current SEC rankings

Kentucky - 4
Florida - 9
Vanderbilt - 13
Tennessee - 12
Alabama - 20
Mississippi - 28
Missouri - 33
Auburn - 30
Georgia - 34
Arkansas - 35
LSU - 38
Texas - 40
Mississippi St. - 45
Oklahoma - 65
Texas A&M - 67
South Carolina - 97

At least the conference has enough good teams to provide enough quad 1 and 2 games. I don’t think the conference is as good as last season, but it will have a lot of teams in the tournament most likely.
only problem is MM is 14-40 in SEC play. Tournament or bust

Drake through TT is a legit stretch of games, probably better than any OC schedule so far under CMM.

I'm not quite ready to go that far. Drake doesn't look to be anywhere close to as good as they were last season. They already have losses to SIUE and Robert Morris. DePaul is probably better than they have been...but still not good. Ga. Tech looks like a bottom tier ACC team. Only eclipsed by BC who looks even worse. Texas Tech may be the best opponent LSU has played in the OOC schedule under McMahon and SMU could be ok, but I think, overall, the 23-24 schedule was better:

Dayton (NCAAT)
N. Texas (NIT)
Wake Forest (NIT)
@ Syracuse (20 win team - turned down NIT)
Kansas St
Texas (NCAAT)

It's early, but it would be somewhat of a surprise if anyone besides Texas Tech makes the NCAAT

I don’t get the SWAC games. It does absolutely nothing for you. If you want to schedule Grambling or southern for some in state money on. But 2 SWAC teams from out of state is just poor and lazy scheduling

Yep. Even blowout wins don't do much because the SWAC is THAT bad. Then you run the risk letting on beat you like Southern or Texas So will do on occasion. Having 2 SWAC teams on the schedule when you don't have the meat elsewhere to make up for it is bad scheduling.

For example, Ole Miss has two SWAC teams on their schedule. But they also play Iowa, St. John's and NC State, in addition to power conf teams that are likely better than BC, DePaul and Ga. Tech.

UCF and UNO may end up being pretty good teams. UNO may win their conference. Schedule gets better from thanksgiving to Dec 17. Will find out a lot but UNO and UCF were good wins.

Yet another snoozer OOC game scheduled by McChicken. This game will tell us nothing.

UCF was an exhibition and counts nothing for our end season resume.

Hopefully, somehow UNO ends up a Quad 2 win.

TTU and SMU both project to be potential Quad 1 OOC wins if we can gets the Ws.

Probably dropping to 100 with a win tonight.

Just stating that UCF wasn’t necessarily a cupcake as far as judging how good this team may be.
