This is the day the 10-year curse of LSU quarterback play set by the dismissal of Ryan Perrilloux will finally be lifted. This will be the most pivotal day in LSU football in a long time. The good news is that this fall will be the first season for the curse to be lifted; I do wish it could be lifted before spring practice, but we should be thankful anyway!

The only concern I have with this is whether Perrilloux being on the field for the Auburn game this year will extend the curse? And if so, for how much longer? It certainly cannot be another 10 years. Geaux Tigers!

I’ve been anticipating this date for a long time. It’s crazy that one player can set an entire football program back 10 years but alas, we have paid the price for his actions.

Who pronounced the curse to begin with? Need to either burn at stake or drive a stake into their heart and stuff their mouth with garlic cloves for the curse to go away.

Auburn’s curse of losing in BR since the cigar game in 1999 still continues to this day. There’s no guarantee 10 years satisfies the football gods.

This has been well known for quite some time now.

I'm sorry. I love Coach Miles, but I won't explain away his inability to develop a QB with a "curse". That "pivotal day" should have set us back a year at most. What is the curse anyway? Having to start a true freshman a year earlier than you would have liked? Newsflash: Big time programs get those guys ready to play when you need them to.

It wasn't a curse that caused Jordan Jefferson to be a 3 year starter. It wasn't a curse that recruited program washouts in Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris.

It's not a coincidence that the 3 best (or only QBs with a pulse) QBs Miles ever had started their college careers with other Head Coaches

It's the curse of Saban we're dealing with.

If RP isn’t a dumb arse, the last decade of LSU football arguably never happens and Les retires as LSUs greatest coach.

Bumping this thread bc it boggles my mind that such a small percentage of our fan base seems to care about an issue that has plagued us for nearly a decade.

UGA has run through about 5 QBs that could play better than any of ours since then. Hell, one of theirs became ours

RP is a convenient excuse.

Just in time for LSU's running backs to be mediocre again. Perfect.
