His DADDY THOUGHT he deserved to be Starter. Kelly told him he had to compete and so he took his boys and went elsewhere. I think Max is a good guy just has a jerk for a Daddy. Think about it....NOT one team on the East coast was interested in him. And he was from Georgia,

Is this how it went? He was never even really supposed to start here, he only started because Brennan got injured in 2020 and Finley sucked. Then in 2021 Brennan got hurt again in the offseason.
If he wanted to be given a starting job wouldn't he transfer to a lower school? He wasn't even given the starting job at A&M so if that was his priority his destination doesn't make sense. I think he just had a prior relationship with Jimbo, his brother was going there, and he wasn't part of the long term QB plan under the coaching change at LSU with (at the time) Brennan, Nuss, Daniels and even Howard was still here, so he left.
I don't have any hard feelings towards him. He's just not very good, we're in a good spot at QB and he wouldn't even be 2nd string here, it made sense for him to leave.

Max is an above average college QB. He’s not great, but I’d say he is a 6 out of 10. He is very inconsistent. Sometimes he makes beautiful throws, and sometimes dopey ones.
