He won’t have Burrow type numbers but as long as he isn’t Bo Nix he should be good. You don’t have to have a great QB if your defense is solid and your running game works.

I will say it felt forced when Brennan did it and it feels more natural with Max but I’m just grasping at straws. We are just fans and have no clue what goes on in that locker room. But, Max was the turning point of this team last season. I’m ready to roll with him!

I mean he has the pedigree. Last year in the swamp and against Ole Miss, he proved he has the intestinal fortitude. He just needed to get physically stronger (he still looked like a kid) and it looks like he has. I don’t want to get overly optimistic but damn the signs are there!

What's sad is that some of you actually have convinced yourself that this is true. You are taking something you see and then turning it into whatever you want to believe.

I could walk out into an LSU practice and start screaming and jumping around. Would that somehow undoubtedly make me a great QB for LSU? As if that's the top priority to measure how successful a QB will be.
