Stranger still is that he was in the pen warming up against Bama in the 8th inning of the SEC champ game, and never got in.

I don't know if it's true or not but that's just what I read on the OT. But if it is like I said in my previous post I don't think that's why he's having problems.

Just a soph slump. He's still a kid and I am guessing his confidence is just shot. Simple as that. We forget how young these kids really are. This and the UF game might be the reasons.

Baseball is a game built primarily upon confidence. At the "LSU level" everyone has talent. Only a few get by on rare talent alone. The average closer who has lost confidence doesn't need to be on the field. A middle relief stint during a blowout or two may help his confidence.
