Yeah hard to see him back by Texas or Bama. Post season football more likely.

Small fractures can heal faster than one would think. High ankle sprains and other shite that can linger tends to be worse than a small fracture.

6-8 weeks recovery depending on the severity. I dont see Whit coming back until the Tennessee game, tbh.
Even if he's fully cleared by the Bama week, he will still need a week or so to get back up to speed after being out for almost 2 months.

How fractures are fixed now have changed some. The hardware are a locking system. The tibia is the load bearing bone. The fibula helps with stability. Once the fibula reduced and ankle joint is stabilized with hardware, you can allow progression of walking and resistance early in post-op. Speeding up recovery

Just have to hope for quick healing including getting his conditioning and confidence back. I think 11/14 vs Texas is a reasonable goal.

This #7 spotlighted shite should have died with Giles. Ever since then it's been more of bad juju like the being on the cover of Madden than anything of a net positive for LSU.

I love Whit Weeks. He plays with more heart, effort, and intensity than almost any player I can remember. But man, it’s tough to see him struggle to stay healthy for a full season\. Since joining LSU in 2023, he’s suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in the 2024 Texas Bowl, a fractured talus in the 2025 Ole Miss game that led to him missing five games, and now another broken fibula against Texas A&M. I’m sure that injury history raises concerns for NFL teams and scouts, and that’s a tough reality. I’m praying for a quick recovery so he can get back out there and finish what he started at LSU.
