Which job would you take?? Coaching with D.J. Durkin @ Maryland is a significantly better gig than going to Champaign.

The offense was better in passing efficiency and pass yards by 10/game this year, that's it, (was worse in most every other category or even in a couple of stats)red zone and third downs were worse this year than the year before and are more important than the previous 2 I mentioned.

Really? Because Canada specifically stated he wanted to return next year. It was not mutual. If my job offered me money not to work I’d take it too.

Please Cowboy, don’t come in here injecting common sense to tRant.

Well it was our lowest offensive output vs Miss St this century (I didn't look at 1900's). I can see where O might be somewhat concerned and I'm saying that as someone who thinks O and Alleva need to go.

Apparently Aranda could not stand working with the guy

This is what Orgeron said. That sounds like it was more up to him than it was up to Canada.

BS. There’s nothing to back that claim up with.

You really didn't answer my question. Are you saying he was offered both and has the option to choose?

You didn’t ask me to begin with. Nice try.

You, however, did doge my question.

Neither you nor I know if he was or wasn’t offered both gigs.

Here's my thing... Canada was working with a thin and 'weak by inexperience' OL, WRs that should have been more polished (i.e., did the small things more consistently), an injured Guice, and a D that was giving up long drives...

... in his first year.

So was Orgeron. Why doesn't Canada deserve a second year when Orgeron does. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander.

My biggest issue with Canada, probably my only real one outside any personality issues (which he certainly has), is redzone scoring. But even that one was affected by our K's; their inconsistency/poor performance certainly affected his play calling. But, at the end of the day, it was his job to adjust and he did a poor job of that. For a year 1 guy it's not too shabby. I thought he deserved a second year.

People like me? Not sheriff srs potato.

The dude threw a pick every 6 throws. That’s fact. He almost threw a pick 6 against Syracuse which would have lost us the game. Luckily for us, the LBer has worse hands than Brandon Lafell.

Go back. Watch him play. Please.

Can't answer the question, because I don't know the details of the potential contracts, etc.

On the face of it, I would say Maryland.

But when you say "which one would you pick?" it indicates there was a choice to be made, when there may not have been.

Don't know the article uses terms like they and we when discussing the decision. The one quote from O in there says he would never play Brennan unless Etling was hurt or innefective. Just like i linked in my OP.

quote:

Teams should not be run based upon media's opinions.

What are you talking about? I got called a liar and full of shite for stating quoted facts. Then i linked the quotes from ed orgeron himself. How is that "media opinion"?
