You can see where Canada has been working these guys hard with the ball fakes after the precise handoff on the sweep. He had all the QB's pulling the old Brett Favre fake after the ball is out of his hands. It's just those little attention to details that will cause a defense to pause and then there's your big play. This is going to be good.

A competent OC brings in Donte as a decoy for a few plays, then calls the play to him later in the game when the defense eases up.
Ensminger actually did that a lot last season. Miles, not so much.

Exactly...you will see a lot of jet sweeps and shuttle passes (inverted veer).
Canada tries to split the defense in half and outnumber defenders to one side or the other.

Or consider: Etling can actually pass the ball. Imagine play-action... DJ comes in motion for the jet sweep, pulls the linebacker and safety just a bit. They have to, with his speed. Snap, and play-action to Guice; pulls the other linebackers in just a step.
Etling hits Chark just after he clears the linebackers on a post. He has one safety to beat for a TD, unless the corner can hang with him.
