I see a lot of triple option looking principles, without the QB running and getting hit.

No he never figured out Deshaun Watson. Clemson's offense is not any different from many other spread offenses.

it won't be a massive change because Canada uses traditional power run game schemes and formations

he also doesnt have a set in stone philosophy or scheme
These two statements directly contradict each other.

Canada is a “players not plays” coach. At every stop he’s adapted his offense to the personnel. Whether it’s a fully-fledged spread-option attack, a downhill power-run unit, or somewhere along that spectrum, Canada has done it all.

Conceptually, Canada runs a smashmouth-spread system: Emphasizing the run, unloading the box through spread formations, and running traditional power-running concepts.
See, I can bold things to make a point while ignoring the rest of the content as well.

On one hand, teams won't have 8 years worth of running it up the middle on tape. On the other, LSU players might need time to grasp new offense.

Just curious, how will the offense work with true freshmen on the offensive line? I think it's a fair question and one that is a reality this team will face.

This is goona be the key. Does Canada have the teaching chops to get all the motions etc, installed with not much time.
I think he does, but lets face it he hasn't had a few years for the players to absorb this. Im not to sure our offense was asked to think very much under Miles.
This is going to be spectacular or its going to be one illegal motion penalty after another.

I met an NC STate fan today, he mentioned Canada
He said "I am so glad I don't have watch a jet sweep I know is coming"
LOL
I hope he works out, it seems fans eventually hate their coaches...no matter school or position unless they are winning big
winning solves all problems...that' just a fact

And wasn't he only at NC st for 2 years?

This is how you know you've worn out your welcome somewheres
Your posts in this thread are sensible, yet every single one has 15+ downvotes and I'd be willing to bet that you're the only one upvoting them
Just an observation

Jet sweep, whats that? Is that the play Russell Shepard scored on one time and LSU never ran again. Of course Im joking. But its a sad state of affairs how simple and basic Miles offense's were.
Lsu finally has an OC bringing in some recent cfb concepts, and we are acting like he is cutting edge because we have never seen it before. That being said, I cant wait to see what Canada might be able to produce with Lsu's athletes.

There is a poster here who has started threads which shows all of the Pitt offensive plays against some of Pitt's opponents last year. You may want to check them out.
In his second game of his first season at Pitt last year, Pitt beat Penn St. PSU is their biggest rival and finished the season with a trip to the Rose Bowl, beating Ohio St along the way. Pitt gained 432 yards and had a 35:29 to 24:31 time-of-possession advantage.

I'm sure he is "so glad".
Last year NC St was the 93rd ranked team in offensive scoring with an awesome 23.2 points per game.
The year before with Canada they were the 37th best scoring offense at 31.5 ppg.
NC St fans in real life are almost as stupid as LSU message board fans.

This is hard to believe. NC ST and Pitt are in the same conference.
I can't imagine the "fan" watching Matt Canada go to Pitt and end up with the 9th scoring offense in the nation at 38.1 ppg and be glad he was gone. Especially while at the same time they had to watch their team go from 37th in the nation to 93rd in scoring offense.

Damn, son. You're working hard on those downvotes today. You're building up some nice fap material for yourself for the weekend.

Bottom line is that we as fans and the opposing D won't know what's coming pre-snap. It was getting pretty sad when 8 out of 10 drunks starring at the TV knew what play was coming

Just as he did against Clemson last year.
