Im not really for the necessity of wearing a mask at the box, but i dont know where some of you are getting this “the mask does nothing to protect you” thought. Everything ive read claims the opposite.

So the biological warfare full face mask with big fancy filters I wore in The US Army was just a ruse. All we really needed was a Kn95 or better yet, a face gata. Who knew.

The studies that show masks work are when used in medical settings where they get disposed immediately or in lab tests. They don’t work in the real world because people don’t use them correctly or clean them and the pretty cloth ones that girls love to wear over and over are the worst. We now have tons of data showing that areas with strict mask policies don’t fair any better than areas with none. So it’s the real world application that involves the public that shows they don’t work which is all that should matter right? And we’ve known this for some time. Asian countries have been wearing masks for years yet their disease stats were never any better than other places.

I am really wanting to believe this statement when I read it on this board but I have yet to read links that back it up. It’s like one poster posts the statement and others just repeat it like it’s fact.

There are more mask police than fans... masks don’t accomplish much of anything. Anyway. 22 states 100% open with no mask mandate... but our governor knows better

We can go back to June and look at states with the strictest mask rules. New Jersey and New York are on this list.

That was me with a quick google search. When we had the big OT thread, I did a bunch of research and linked a ton of studies from prior to 2020. What I learned from posting those is that people will believe what they want to believe. Some believe things based on how it makes them feel. Others use logic. Nothing I can do to change that.

You, and they, are welcome to leave.

It probably just depends on the security because neither me no anyone else in my section yesterday wore a mask the entire game. There were four security guards in our section and one even chatted with us throughout the game.

Four security guards in your one section... Were y’all there as part of a prison sentence furlough?

I had same experiences too. I sat on the first base line. I just sucked on some suds all game and they left us alone. The old man politely told me to mask up when I first got there. Once I spent $50 on beer they left me alone. But I saw the old lady there give people the evil eye all game. She fussed and fussed. I think they're volunteers. Why would any one want that job?

I was in 119 Saturday and the Oral Roberts parents weren’t wearing them for the most part. A Marshall would walk down between innings with a sign that said Mask Up, but they left us alone. I chin diapered mine in the middle of the 1st after I saw how they were treating everyone that particular day.
