This is the key thing. The event is already socially distanced AND (most importantly) outdoors. Under those circumstances, the masks are largely superfluous. Every study that I have seen suggests that the prospects for COVID spreading in outdoor, reasonably distanced environments are slim to none.
The problem with over-zealous enforcement of rules that don't make much sense is that it makes people less likely to comply with the ones that DO make sense.

The point is that the marshals have an attitude in going about their duties, the word "stalking" is not too far off the mark with some of them. As in Red River Towing's approach. LSU athletics has lost a lot of money this past athletic year & the administration should be going out if its way to ensure fans have a good time. Suggest you let CPM & the A.D know, continuously.

That's the thing. A few of them absolutely stalk the sections looking for infidels to punish.
The other 2/3 of them aren't like that. I see them looking on from a distance like "I'm sorry my coworker is being a cockmonkey nazi and ruining the game for the rest of us".

How about if you’re still scared of covid you stay home and watch on TV and if you’re not you go to the Box and enjoy the game with or without a mask, choice is up to you. Wouldn’t that be something?

The marshals at the Box were psycho dick bags before Covid so no one should be surprised they've gone insane-o over this.
