Well.... he's got a wife and 6 kids, so did y'all expect him to do a zoom call from CEO's office?

Maybe maybe not, I’ve actually thought it over after several interviews. We’ll see hopefully O is lining up more interviews. If I were him I would have already lined up one for tomorrow. Always play chess.

The fact that he visited ND first and that he could be the next cinci HC scares me

He is flying back home to talk to HC Luke Fickell. They are very close but don’t be nervous that’s the route taken because it’s a respect thing between friends. This is a big move professionally, culturally for Freeman and family. Don't rush it.

so you’re willing to give up on a coach because he doesn’t say yes to moving 6 kids across the country in 24 hours?

This. He gets to sleep on the decision tonight. That's proper. If we don't get a yes tomorrow, then the answer is no

Are some of you really melting because some slap dicks reported that he didn't give an answer immediately?

Moving on

I know when you apply at McDonalds, Taco Bell and Wendy's they give you an answer immediately after the interview, but when you are talking about a multi million dollar big time college DC, things have to be discussed, negotiated, and decided on both sides. It can take more than two minutes after the interview.

If you are blown away by the people you will be working with and working for, the culture and the facilities then you don't hesitate to accept the offer before you get on the plane. ND and LSU will both offer huge money and he won't be at either place more than 1 year. This is a bad look.

It possible he has enough respect for Fickle, his players and the school that he’d like to tell them face to face rather than them find out from some tweet. Like someone said on the coaching board, ND so called insiders are talking about moving on and the LSU peeps have been somewhat tight lipped. They may know and were told to keep their mouth shut.

He's got a wife and all sorts of kids, it's a big move, there's political turmoil all over the place, the damned pandemic has the world turned on it's ear, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria... plus he's in high demand and, no doubt, has a few great options to choose from for his next gig.

Good Lord. Give the man 24 hours to think it over.

How you know he didn't sign but wants to wait until he talks with Luke and fam to inform them of his decision?

With shite leaking all day, I cant help but believe that he's a done deal, but wants to tell his team and upper management face to face, and if so, I really really like him more for doing this, but still makes me a lil nervous that something didn't get done either, LOL..

This and cincy could give him a raise. He also probably wants to gauge what Cincinnati’s plans are if/when fickell leaves. If he stays 1 year and is head coach next that’s hard for us to top.

This all the way
