Remember him well. One of the few bright spots of those teams. RIP

For me one of the first identifiable offensive linemen…the memories I have of that early 90’s Curley Hallman team helped mold me.
RIP
ETA: a couple days late but Marc was a DL I think. Had a key stop in the eventual loss to Bama in 1991. One of the first games I remember being stung by.

First LSU poster to hang on my wall as a kid was the one with Marc Boutte and the 1991 schedule.

He also was a 3rd round pick and played in the league from 92-99
In 1992, LSU only had two players drafted. Both in the 3rd round. Boutte was drafted first, three picks later, Todd Kinchen was taken. Both were drafted by the same team, LA Rams.
RIP Marc, great guy and great player.

I think Marc Boutte and Kevin Mawae may have been on the same team, back in 1990 and '91. Those teams didn't completely suck

Yep, Kevin’s brother John was on the team at that time. A few more, OB Sr. Two guys that would coach at LSU, Corey Raymond and Bo Davis. Two guys that were WalkOns, came in together, Dr. Mike Blanchard and Brett Bech.

At one point in my young teens, he was one of ,or the only LSU player in the league. I always had an affinity for him, he did us proud in the darkest of times.
RIP, and God blessyour soul , Mr Boutte

My mom and dad went to that game. If I'm not mistaken Ben Rothlisberger was the QB for Miami of Ohio.
Since I'm from Sulphur and played DL there, it was awesome seeing a guy from my neck of the woods playing at LSU.
RIP Marc Boutte.

Thanks for the correction. I thought it was before I got married. Time sure flies.

Don’t know what happened
NFL lineman have a history of shorter lifespans
But this is way too young

My God, did that game suck.
Rest in Peace, Tiger.
ETA - Wrong Miami (Ohio) game. Carry on.
