To the 17 people who down voted this I would like to meet you at the sonic of your choosing.
Cpm lost this game. Hilliard was going smooth excited leaving the mound and then you yank him..
I hope the tram pulls you to Omaha, but cpm is the real liability.

His coaching style is sbout as soft as his voice

I agree here. Hard hit ball to Doughty. Go to plate get out. We win.

Apologies should be made by many on this team:
- Beloso for not being able to hit
- 3-4 hitters for k’ing every time
- CPM well already stated
- Doughty for not making that play

No you lost bc you struck out 16 times and made a costly mental mistake in the field which came back to bite you finally which never happen last weekend in that weak regional.

Time for PM to go, but the players had no fire in their belly. None. Just sloppy defense, and they swung at ridiculous pitches.

It was going to be the third time through a good lineup. He was getting hit hard. You’re bringing in a guy who has been pitching really well as of late. It’s not a bad decision. It didn’t work out because doughty fricked up. It happens.

It’s not like the hit piss rockets off Coleman.

Iffy strike zone, not great control, bad defense cause the break down that inning. Regardless did anyone really expect to win at Tennessee scoring only 2 with 10+ K’s??

Pitching wasn’t the problem.

How about just leaving in a guy who was pitching great?

I'm not a baseball guy, but look at the obvious. We had a pitcher that was doing great and showing no signs of being tired, so we pull him?

The same people saying shouldn't have pulled him would be screaming if he left him in and he got hit. They just live to bitch about anything

Yes but I highly doubt that’s the case . Hilliard just struck out the batter to end the inning and was pumped coming to the dugout.

That’s very true. Hilliard was not done by any stretch of the imagination unless he pulled his arm out of his socket being gassed up after a huge inning. Baw was fired up and ready to keep mowing them down after that inning no doubt.

Completely inexcusable decision that cost us the game. For those that doubt it, the inning Hilliard came out is the inning they went from down 2-1 to up 4-2, FYI. seems like some of you Pawl defenders needed to hear that from captain obvious.

We gave up 4 runs to the 3 seed. That didn’t lose the game. Our best hitters going to sleep at the plate lost the game.

Coleman had a great game in the Oregon regional. But to pull Hilliard, while still in rhythm and showing no sign of fatigue is one of reasons why everyone wanted PM gone in the first place. That poor decision started a Tenn. rally which changed the complexion of the game. While we can't say that our batting would have stepped up in the absence of that momentum shift, but it was the reason we fell behind and never recovered. The top of our batting order was a disappointment and we have holes in our lineup due to lax recruiting, but this game appeared to be ours before PM's poorly planned pitching change...
